C-Jo's age and wear and tear shows more in this class. Not getting off as he'd want. Sykes is boxing nicely to his credit, he's not just hitting and running. He's prepared to stand at times, and thats clever. He has to pick his spots to trade, you can't run all night and get a pressure fighters respect.

Round 3...Sykes throws a few cuffing right 'hooks' that get the crowd excited but not much behind them and CJ caught them on his gloves. I like how Sykes is more than capable of handling himself up close if need be. CJ's hands are slow and Sykes is seeing the punches come in . A few wild swings but they're all missing. Sykes is moving and peppering CJ with quick counters. CJ lands with a swinging right hook and again! Bit of success for CJ in the last 30 seconds. Still reckon Sykes did enough early on.

"johanneson jsut can't handle the movement of Sykes" Ritchie Woodhall

    3-0 Sykes

Sykes is really picking Carl apart. Carls hooks look slow just as I typed that he got a good one in then sent a hayemaker swinging close. Sykes boxing well on the outside and his quick combos are making Carl cover up.

Sykes is slowing down and starting to get to him, Carl is getting to him now, can see a 9th round stoppage for Carl.

Round 3 was better from C-Jo there. Still Sykes round though I think. Sykes is having to work tremendously hard at the moment, he'll have to rely on his good engine if C-Jo can keep up with him. Good tactics from Sykes, picking his spots to trade, but mostly using his speed and defensively doing well enough. C-Jo has to think about how he's going to get in the fight and not just land one shot.
