It could happen right?...I'm serious here. I sometimes read comments such as "fedor is gonna demolish him" etc...But again , let's not forget that mma is mma and you guys know as well as i do than a lot of things are possible in this sport.

It's sometimes hard to be a "fan of" someone or to root for this or that champ because they don't even have the time to keep the belt for a whole year. We all knew that GSP was more skilled than Serra...but Serra still defeated him in their first fight...

Penn has always been more talented then Hughes...but Hughes still won the rematch didn't he ?...as ridiculous as Hughes looked on the ground vs Penn , he still won the ****ing fight.

Crocop was supposed to grab the ****ing ufc hw belt...but he didn't.

Werdum is suddenly taken more seriously than almost anyone in mma.
Gonzaga went from the "next big thing" to a totally overrated **** again...

    it comes and goes...

I believe that fedor has what it takes to submit sylvia in the first. But am I 100% certain of it ? **** no.

And i'm the first one to talk **** about Sylvia you all know it. I've critisized his shitty boxing. I said several times that the guy was as slow as a past prime foreman (only without the boxing technic)...

And yet...he's not totally talentless...Yes he's got real Ko power. Yes , he also has a solid takedown defense...yes , his wrestling is not total garbage. His sub defense has some problems but it's far from being the worst in mma.

And let's not forget that the guy's size is also a real advantage. Look what a monster like Choi did to fedor in a matter of seconds...sure , fedor won in the first...but size really makes a huge difference and choi certainly ain't as experienced as sylvia in mma.

So it should be very interesting...no matter what happens...even if it ends up being predictable..(let's say fedor does the usual , subs his opponent in the first) , let's still never forget that no fight is a 100% assured victory for the favorite.

Of course Sylvia could do it his wins over Ricco and Arlovski where massive upsets counting him out is like counting out Couture how do you count out a guy thats basically made a career of proving people wrong ?

You know, I was looking up Fedor's record the other day, I always thought he was undefeated, but found out he lost in 2000 to some guy on a first round TKO.

Apparently he avenged the fight brutally, but still, I always thought he was undefeated. Finding this out, it kind of was disapointing, especially considering he lost in a kind of bogus fight (one elbow, literally, seconds in, causes a cut, which stops the fight).

Still, I think Fedor is better at near everything than Sylvia. Sylvia definitely has a puncher's chance, and in MMA, you just can't count anyone out before they've even been knocked down. And with Sylvia's strength and heart, who knows, this could be a great fight.

I have to pick Fedor, though. Just look at what he did to "Minotauro" for evidence of his greatness, not to mention Randleman, Fujita ... just a great resume.

In many people's eyes, he is still consider undefeated because the elbow was not allow in that organization. So it was an illegal hit that cause the cut. It would be like if someone low blow Mayweather, and the fight is stop and that fighter was given the win.

I think that decision might even be overturn to no contest if that organization still exist.

That really sucks - Fedor Emenlienko should still be undefeated!!!

I heard about that, that the elbow was an illegal technique in that particular organization. I'm not advocating that the elbow should be illegal, as I think it's a fine weapon, BUT you have to respect the rules of that particular bout. Who knows, had the elbow been legal, maybe Fedor would have fought differently with that in mind.

Winning by using a foul is wrong. They definitely should overturn this decision. Fedor should be undefeated!!!

    Let's start a petition. :rant

They will never overturn it, TK is a legend in Japan. The situation was that the fight was in a tournament, and Fedor was cut with the illegal elbow. The rules did not take into account this particular scenario, so they had to rule a "winner" in order to advance someone to the next round, and since Fedor was unable to continue and they had no alternate they had to rule TK the "winner", as ****ed up as that is.

I think Sylvia is the most dangerous type of fighter for Fedor. He's a stand up fighter with a good offensive abilities. And he's hard to take down. If this goes to the ground, Fedor will easily submit him. But Sylvia could land something big in the process. It will be an interesting fight- but if you think about the size difference this will be a dangerous fight and could go either way.

Is this going to be in a ring or a cage? It matters in terms of getting back up once taken down, so a cage would slightly favor Silvia IMO...

If it is to be shown in the UK I would expect it to just be an highlight programme on the fight network channel.

I disagree. We've already seen Fedor fight these types of fighters and win. A dangerous match for Fedor is a dominate top position grappler with good submission defense. A la Barnett, or Randy. The closest we've come to this is when he fought Arona, and Arona gave him fits.

Other than a freak punch landing, Tim doesn't have a good style to really take it to Fedor in a prolonged match.

Bingo. There is simply no way I can see Sylvia not being taken down and subbed. No way.
