Never thought i'd be saying this but as bad as Tim Sylvia is , he was at least trying his best to make this fight more interesting. (coming from him...it's not saying much though).

This is one of the worst mma hw fight i've seen in YEARS.

I wasn't rooting for anyone in particular anyway. So i'm not disappointed with the outcome of this fight. But man...It was beyond mediocre.

So i guess we'll soon see Nogueira vs Sylvia for the belt.

I am assuming the entire fight was stand up, and Sylvia out jabbed Vera?

That is sort of surprising , so many was hyping Vera.

^Sylvia smothered Vera the whole time and held him against the cage for the majority of the fight. Vera couldn't get any kicks off and ate a few fists and elbows.

It's a fight, and I really can't blame Sylvia for doing what he had to do in order to get a big win that he needed. Sylvia turned up the heat as the fight went on, and when Tim turned up the heat, Vera didn't want any.

I was rooting for Vera too, as Sylvia gets on my nerves. But, we can't bash on Sylvia for doing the same sort of things that Couture (one of my favs) gets cheered for.

Vera threw 2 punches in last 2 rounds. If i am to trust Vera, he broke his hand in first and thats why he was backing up and he was blocking shots weird. But like i've said before, I think he's overrated.

I think Vera was a bit timid with's Tim's size, Tim was coming forward throwing punches that were making Vera block and keeping him from doing much. His broken hand might have been some of reason. But why didn't the ****in ref separate them when they were clinched against the cage doing nothing? they did this for all 3 rounds and wasted most of the fight in this position until he separated them with 20 seconds left in the fight.

the dumbest thing vera did was clinch from the opening bell. he had some success early when he was able to land some kicks

Couture doesn't just hold people and wait he has actual strategy once he gets them against the cage,

It was obvious when they showed his hand it was broken and by the fact he kept trying to throw the elbow instead of punching.

You could see there was something wrong with it as he barely used the hand. But you couldnt tell it was damaged once he took the wrapping off.It was barely even swollen.
