    I think it was a case of wishful thinking amidst a rather lackluster heavyweight division.
    Vera's talented, but not in a way that he's going to dominate a division.

    I think were underrating Vera too much...I saw the fight..I know someone who fights like that ..I know that mental state...Its ring rust...he needs to get comfy again...when he attcked he did well..he was just not comfortable out there from the beginning he was unsure,, he clinched

    Still, with his background he should have got something out of the clinch, he was a top 8 guy in the country in Greco for a brief period, but he has fallen in love with his standup and it finally cost him. His success in wrestling and bjj are what started the Vera Hype train, he can't just abondon them and expect to keep winning.

    But give Silva his credit, everybody hates on him, but he is clearly a top level heavyweight at this point.

    Vera didnt do **** too, he initiated the clinch, at least tim tied to bang at the end, i was hoping that knee from vera would F tim up

    I do my fair share of hating on him, rational or not. His being top level is, to me, more of an endictment on how weak the division is than an indicator of how good he is.

    He's difficult to handle for anyone. Just like Valuev in boxing.
