To be fair, Arreola wasn't fighting bad at all before he got caught by Stiverne in the rematch. Arreola is really inconsistent, needs to find his groove and stick to it. Coming in at 260, that's just unacceptable man.

WTF happened to Szpilka vs. Cunningham???

Steve deserves another high-profile TV fight way more than Cristobal does.

That's a great fight... At this point I think Szpilka takes it on the fact that he's young, still improving and shows up to fight in shape unlike Arreola. Arreola just struggled with Curtis Harper, who isn't even a high level journeyman type of character. Arreola wasn't even top 50 based on that fight, maybe not even top 75. He needs to come to fight in decent shape if he wants to have even a shot at beating Szpilka. Sure Szpilka may be chinny, but he easily beats the version of Arreola we saw last month. 75/25, 80/20 in Arreolas current form. Even if he slims down to 240 I still lean towards Szpilka... He's just too dynamic, is still improving, and active for Arreola.

Yeah at least Cunningham always show up to fight in tip top shape, and never lets himself go like Arreola. I guess Szpilka/team see it as an easier win, and Arreola is still ranked relatively with most of the gov bodies. Has virtually no chance of outboxing Szpilka, but he has that punchers chance that Cunningham lacks. Might be a mistake by Szpilka and his team, more risk less reward.. Even if Arreola is more or less finished at this point.

Arreola should knock him out, especially if he comes in under 250 pounds.

It might actually not have been on Pin's team's side.

I remember Steve was said to be entertaining the notion but with the caveat that he would only pursue if the "money was right".

He also has been sounding off about the Glazkov decision on social media and has a chip on his shoulder about it, so he may not want to risk another European prospect building a name off him unless the money is very right... :think

Could just be that USS priced himself out.

It was Szpilka that extended the offer in the first place. Szpilka wanted it.

    F-U-C-K-I-N-G off. :good

Nah, they're in the same neighborhood as far as entertainment value.

They're not in the same neighborhood whatsoever in terms of skill, or in terms of deserving another payday. (considering Arreola barely s****ed by a no-mark, whereas Cunningham snatched two zeroes last year and then ran a ranked unbeaten prospect very close)

Makes sense. Cunningham is all about the money at this point, considering his fading skills/age. Szpilka might have more upside than Glazkov does that this point, Steves gotta be thinking that himself... Szpilka is all wrong for Steve. He's a lot more active/athletic than Glazkov, and I really think that would cause Cunningham a lot of problems. Cunninghams really at the point where he needs to be thinking about retirement, he's not dangerously shot.. But his skills are fading by the minute, and he's looking more his age with each coming outing. He was probably planning on retirement after getting the Klitschko payday, but things just didn't work his way. He's made enough money to live the rest of his days comfortably, and take care of his family just as long as he doesn't live frivolously. He needs to think about calling it a day.
