I remember the fight where Szpilka went life and death against Mike Mollo a couple of years ago. I also seen the fight where he beat a show Adamek. He's a decent fighter, was never impressed by him. I would be surprised if he hears the final bell.
True for every division, no? Unless you have an encyclopedic memory and follow the sport as closely as only perhaps 3% of us do.
Eh, not that damning. Mollo is a hardy fellow, if limited. He was competitive with McCline when he was only slightly past it and Golota when he was past it but still just this side of shot-to-bits... and he obliterated McBride hot on the heels of McBride upsetting Tyson (granted, a shot-to-bits Tyson, but a shot-to-bits ATG nonetheless) Szpilka actually improved from the first to second installment. Outside the knockdown he dominated the rematch.
Must've been very light in the backside, as they say. Now the space between his shoulders is broader than most of this board's posters' comprehension of the sport's nuances!
