Szpilka is a bit rough around the edges and chinny, but he has untapped skill and decent natural power.. I think with a good trainer he might go farther than some expect, we'll see.

As far as his power, you are correct on his record and his billing. I do think he has power but not big power. The Brian Minto fight is an example. I don't think Muhammed Ali had big power either but his power did suffice. By the way congratulations to Under Armour for the Ali life style apparel line. Great move. As far as Szpilka, if he is to become champion he will have to do it the Ali way. Speed, skills and smarts. That's why I think having Ronnie Shields in his corner will greatly enhance Szpilka in that direction. Just like Ali I think Szpilka does not possess Tyson or Foreman knockout power but he does have Ali type power. Ronnie Shields has a good project in Szpilka. I wish them both the best. They both make the sport better.

maybe he can learn some basic defense training in the same gym with Lara

he is fun to watch, but will never win a world title

I'm hopin Szpilka improves and fights vs Fury in the future, the build-up would be epic

Szpilka needs a good trainer. He has a lot of natural talent, with a good trainer and sparring partners he can go places...............

Szpilka is supposed to fight Amir Mansour 12/12 on PBC card. What do you think? I'm glad that finally he will get serious opponent, but after seeing how Mansour schooled Washington in late rounds I think he will be too much for Szpilka at this point. It can turn into great brawl though.

Spzilka is better skilled than Washington. I think he'll beat Mansour.

Yeah, but on the other hand he is not as big and disciplined... If he is as judicious as he was against Adamek, then he will probably win. The problem is that since he started training with Shields he is a different fighter. And that "new" style seems perfect for Mansour.

Szpilka got a glass jaw. Mansour would knock him out the ring.

Szpilka does like to get hit, it's sort of his wake up call. I expect him to be better since the day he got in the ring with Jennings. If he boxes like he did vs Adamek then he should be fine.

Doesn't anyone think Mansour's age can be a factor in this? How's his conditioning in later rounds?

    Mansour will likely spark Szpilka.

Good action fight. If mansour isn't depressed over the result if his last fight he can KO Szpilka.
