We are not talking "Bomb Squad" power here. I can see the Americans stacking the judges like the Kovalev robbery. Ali 114-113 on all 3 cards even though Szpilka out lands him, out power lands him and drops him once.
Yes Ali had all kinds of problems with southpaw Norton and Frazier broke his jaw with a left hook. Im afraid to say this is a bad match up for the greatest. Could be another Mike Mollo rerun.
Szpilka would be to unorthodox for Ali. Like the lefty English pastry chef that dropped Ali causing the corner to illegally revert to smelling salts to keep Ali alive.
Ya Szpilka wont have to worry bout Fonfara taking care of his girl while they lookin for his head in this one. Szpilka is a little to fast for Ali to knock out.
Ali was quicker and a better boxer than the Bronze Bomber. I couldn't see the Soccer Hooligan lasting tbh...
Its CERTAINLY more believable than the Joshua match THATS FOR SURE. lol I think 1970's Ali wins. Nothing screams out to me about Spzilka, Ali had much better balance keeping fighters off him from the outside and nutralizing tactics than Wilder. And Szpilka does not have concussive power. Ali may be WAY overatted but not to the extent Spzilka should be favored.
If hes going to replicate that in the fight ,in contrast he would have to hit Ali in the back of the head as hes walking without seeing him coming to his corner after the bell rings though!
I just have one general rule of thumb around here: If Wilder can knock you out, you aren't beating Ali.
