i think lenny should be able to walk through brown
But on other hand lenny can not fight on backfoot and will chase all night
has lenny got a glass chin?
Apparently had a few flash knock downs against him
or is brown over the hill
will be very interesting about time lenny stepped up and brown isnt a bad opponent
    who will win this one?

Yep good fight Zappa with combos, speed and skill against the tough Brown......I think Zappas speed will win the day in a wide points win.

    Tommy by decision.

His chin should hold up to anything Lenny connects with and he has great stamina.

Zap has yet to prove he can fight ten hard rounds and finish strong. He starts fast and then slowly loses steam. He has all the punches but I just question his stamina, it's a result of the way he fights...he loads up on just about everything.

I see Tommy finishing better and sweeping the late rds.

Great local fight. A credit to both camps for getting it done.

Id be really suprised if Tommy wins this one...I think Lenny's main weakness could possibly be his chin and how open he is when he gets a bit carried away. I just dont think Tommy has the power to concern Zappa in the slightest.

But I must say I do think Tommy is looking very good with the extra weight. He appears strong and healthy with it on him.

Tommy does not contain the power to stop Zappa, but Lenny does.
Zappa by KO! Great to see 2 Aussie prospects fighting once again.

This is ridiculous. Since when do you need to be a big puncher to hurt Zappa?

Dulog had him down twice in one round. Dulog has 2ko's from 5 wins and started off as a super bantam. Definately not a noted puncher.

Same for Ruben Santillanosa. He rocked Lenny. Ruben camped out at KFC for two weeks so he could make lightweight.

Lennys chin aint all that great. If Tommy lands he can hurt him. Jnr welter should suit Lenny alot more as he has struggled at lightweight for some time apparently.

It's a leap of faith to think that Tommy can't hurt him though.

Should be an interesting fight tho, coz this is a big step up for Zappa no doubt.

I hope a new Aussie sensation is born this friday boys.

    Completely different fighters though.

Dulog, in true filo style, wings punches from all angles. He ****ed up Vella, pretty sure he dropped Ellis on the way to beating him, he rocked
Wills in their fight. He record is very deceiving..I thought you would know better then that perfect. And he has settled well and truly into lightweight...the fact is he was still in his teens when he fought below feather and his form at light welter has shown he can handle the weight.

Part of his problem is goes all out for a KO but often gets caught by big stuff himself.

Tommy is a rangey fighter who relies heavily on his jab....He doesnt fight like either of those guys and though he could hurt Lenny..anything can happen in boxing..his style and attributes mean he will more then likely not.
Tommy's power is not what Zappa should be worried about.

Ok. I see where you are coming from. That's fair enough. I thought you meant that Tommy couldn't hurt Zapp because he didn't have the pop to be able to, not because of his style.

And jnr welter might mean that Zapp takes punches better. I like the kid. I'm with you in that Tommy really doesn't fight to take guys out. He tried in his last fight (to make a statement) and looked awful to be honest. He'l fight behind his jab for sure.

I've just got a really big doubt on Lenny fighting a fast pace for more than half a dozen rds. He gassed against Maratas (again, not a lightweight) when Maratas was on the defence all night. Zapp just punched himself out. Against a much more competitive, bigger and more experienced guy...I just see him folding up if he can't get Tommy out of there early.

I've seen Tommys chin tested in the gym. It looks rock solid and his stamina is really good. On that I lean his way but Zapp may prove me way wrong.

But what a great fight huh?

It does make it interesting the fact Lenny hasnt got a lot of experience over the longer distance.

Tommy has the chin and rounds clocked up to make it interesting if goes late.

I just think Lenny has the power and punches in his kit to pile up the points over Tommy's pretty limited arsenal.

I love seeing these kinds of fights, local matchups get me nearly as excited as the most anticipated PPVs.

Either way its going to be a great fight that I think will go the distance with Zappa landing enough punches to win 2 fights....however i dont think he will stop Brown

Looking forward to fox friday....and it will be good to see Geale go round again.
