    Who yall got.

Tony looked absolutely clueless vs Jack, particlualry when Jack went toe to toe.

Rubio and Dirrel are very similar in size with a slight strenght advantage going to Tony Dirrel IMO.

Overall power, ie punching technique has got to go to Rubio.

I'd say chin does as well, though Rubio showed nothing resembling punch resistance vs GGG due to GGGs akward punches coming in from unorthodox angles.

Rubio is no stranger to the wieght, and has done some solid work N of 160.

Im a T Dirrel fan, or was, IDK, but this is an aweful tough comeback fight for someone coming off their first loss.

Im tipping Tony to win a tight decision that many will disagree with.

Dirrell as a career SMW has 4'' height and 3'' reach advantage over Rubio who's a career MW. That's hardly "very similar in size". He should retire if he loses to Rubio.

I thought Tony was 6'1 and Rubio 5'11.

Don't know how I missed that one. Been watching em both for almost a dime.

But yeah, see that now on boxrec. Funny how those figures don't show up in the staredown though.

    As for T Dog retiring.....

He's coming off a complete bottle job vs Jack. He may not be all there mentally just yet, and he's fighting the hardest puncher he's ever fought.

Tony don't exactly play defense either. So Rubio will land some leather.

I could see him rocking Dirrel a couple times, though Tony's chin seems far superior to Dre's.

Not the GREATEST choice of comeback opponent if you ask me.

    Garcia gets Salka.
    Broner gets FeatherFist Molina

Tony Dirrel gets a top 10 MW from the past 3 eras. :rofl

Yeah but Rubio is coming off a devastating KO loss as well. We'll see how that effected his confidence. Second round knock out is not something easy to swallow for a guy of his age and caliber.

Im a GGG fan, but Rubio pulled a quit job in that fight.

He made a career payday, knew from that whack uppercut on, that he wasnt gonna make the final bell, and laid down once he was dropped.

IMO, had he come out looking to put GGG on his @ss, he woulda gave a better account of himself and maybe, made for a better test of GGG.

That said.....he'd have likely sustained the kindof career altering beatdown that would change his confidence.

However, GGG and Dirrel are completely different levels. I don't think Tony's got the power to so much as budge Rubio.

This one's going the distance unless Rubio cracks Tony's jaw. :think

I guess Anthony "All bark, no bite" Dirrell manages to stop him late or win a clear decision.
Would laugh my ass off if Rubio manages to beat him.

    Why though Robney?

Rubio has only lost to excellent fighters.

Even his early Roman loss was to a solid punching fighter who would go on to contend for a decade.

Not saying Dirrel isnt an excellent fighter, but this is tough comeback fight for him.

I think he shoulda got a softer touch, and I wouldnt be shocked at all if Rubio didnt pull the upset. :think

Rubio just moved up. And the 8lbs step to SMW is quite big for a former LMW

Rubio is a fairly large MW who has campaigned at 168 previously vs decent LOC.

I wouldnt call him a former LMW, he's pretty much fought the cream de la creme at 160 for the past 12 yrs.

Not saying he won't be at a strength disadvantage, cuz he will since he'll rehydrate to his normal 176/178 and Dirrel to his typical 186/188.

Rubio is a whiz at solving a guys inside game. Dirrel doesnt have anything resembling an inside game.

I think Dirrel will win this from the outside, but Rubio will definelty have his moments in the pocket.

    Really good fight actually.
Im surprised theres no v event thread for it.

The vbookie forum seems to be dying, save for the odd Superfight or in last weeks case, old-timers fight.

    Wonder if IB will make a v thread for Bowe-Golota 3. :lol::lol::lol:
