KO's like those top two make me think boxing needs to re evaluate the phrase TKO.

Nothing Technical about those stoppages. Those ATG's were KO'd !!!

 

can the thread starter, edit this thread to be called ATG's being KO'd. Be great to get a collection of ATG being KO'd.

There's a clear distinction between an elite guy getting stopped by another elite guy...versus an elite guy getting blasted by Corrie ****ing Sanders or Hasim Rahman.

How could there be no difference? The video doesn't support your point too much.

 

Iran Barkley is not much better than a Sanders, or Rahman (2 time HW champ).

Whereas Hearns clearly is an elite fighter.

 

Hearns last real legit win from a contextual and historical view is 3 divisions south of where the bout with Barkley took place. It's comparable to Duran in this sense. Roberto is an ATG lightweight, getting beaten multiple times above his optimal weight does not make this vanish. Same goes for Hearns.

 

This was at middleweight. Not light heavy.

While I agree Hearns was on the slide at this point, he was still good enough to get stiffed in the draw against Leonard for super middle titles, and won a piece of the LHW title (again) after this.

Oh, right. I was thinking about the rematch. Nonetheless, I just don't think it's on the level with getting blasted by Corrie Sanders and Rahman.
