I liked Lennox and only rooted against him twice, the Vitali fight and the Tyson fight I dont think he was so dull He had some great early destructions and what he did to Tyson and Tua dominating the smaller guys with his height and jab is exactly what my favorite Heavyweight Wlad Klitschko does Lennox had some really nice highlight reel knockouts as well
Wlad is very funny, but inside the ring as boring as John Ruiz Sorry, but Floyd Patterson is too shy to say hello.
Nah, Vitali would probably have done better in the rematch. Not that it really matters, Lewis was already really past it and Vitali was footsteps away from his prime. Prime Lewis > any boxer ever.
****in stupid. Vitali was ahead by 2 rounds when it was stopped. And guess what, being ahead after 6 rounds, in a 12 round fight means jack ****, because numerous fighters have comeback in the second half to overcome a whopping 2 round deficit and win decisions, or (gasp) cause TKO's and KO's. KO and TKO exist in boxing...."winning" by being ahead on the cards at the time you are stopped only exists in fantasy denial land. His cuts were seriously bad. If he was allowed to continue, his career could've been cut short by further damage. And no, he wasn't dominating at that point. While still competetive and in the fight, the momentum had visibly turned, and while both guys were gassed, Vitali was on ***** street towards the end, and was fighting a guy who had experience in championship fights, and finishing them when the opportunity was there.....and it was there....any unbiased person can see that. Vitali could've fought his ass off if allowed to continue, but most signs observed pointed to him getting progressively beat up if he was allowed to go on. Competetively beat up....but beat up. There's no shame in TKO6 for Vitali. The real shame is it is his defining moment in the sport.

The only fact is, that Lewis was wobbling, breathless and ready to go already from the 2nd round, when he grabbed vitali after having tasted a right straight; he was getting weaker and weaker, while Vitali was clearly the more fresh between the two; Lennox wouldn't have lasted more than 1-2 rounds anymore, so the referee stopped the fight since Lennox wasn't able to finish a totally inexperienced, opened and not in prime Vitali nor even landing all of his best shots, included one of the most terrific uppercut ever.... and look at lennox's face, right after the stopping... priceless... the face of someone saved by the bell, he was amazed and surprised.... and when Vitali started walking around making the peoples (and a lot of the lennox's fans) plausing him, he was scared, and unwilling to do anything... like when a Vitali not even aknowledged in the english language went directly to him forcing a clueless Lennox to give him a rematch, while every other fighter would have already been in the changing rooms... priceless, one of the highest and purest demonstration of braveness in a boxing fight ever! It was the fight that made me a Vitali fan even if at time i didn't even know who the two guys were!
Ppl gotta let this go. VK wanted to continue, and he shoulda been permitted to. If he wants to risk blindness in pursuit of the world title, let him. But LL won fair n square whether anybody likes it or not. Not like they went to a TD and VK got robbed. LL cut him up with a punch, so it is what it is.
Laid back fighters are cool to watch. They let their fists do the talkin, which is how it's supposed to be. LL went in during the Rahman fracas and the Tyson fracas tho. He was chilled, but not to be played with.
Too much time on your hands, get a life.It was Lewis smashing Vitali's eye into mush that got the doctor involved in the first place.
