atsch After 6 rounds!!! What are 6 rounds? A Championship fight went 12. Against Evander Holyfield in 1999 one judge had Holyfield won the fight! And I do not know the cards after 6 rounds. 1999-03-13 : Lennox Lewis 245 lbs drew with Evander Holyfield 215 lbs by SD in round 12 of 12 Location: Madison Square Garden, New York, New York, USA Referee: Arthur Mercante Jr. Judge: Stanley Christodoulou 116-113 Judge: Eugenia Williams 113-115 Judge: Larry O'Connell 115-115 But Holyfield went 12 rounds against Lewis two times!!!!! His face was not a bloddy mass after 6 rounds.
Lewis lost round 8-11 on judges scorecards. Vitali would have pummeled Lewis into submission in the second half. Lewis got a gift decision. He knew he would not get another and retired.
Against Bruno the fight was 57-57 on 2 cards, and on the third card Bruno was ahead 59-55. I'm pretty sure Bruno would have been ahead after 3 or 4 rounds. He started much better than Lewis. Tyson won the first round against Lewis. Pretty sure he was behind on the cards at some point against Mercer, seeing as Lewis won most of the later rounds.
Jesus. "Vitaly would have pummeled Lewis into submission if he hadn't been pummeled into submission himself." Not really got a handle on how boxing works have you bremen? The other guy is allowed to punch back you know.
Mercer. Many have Mercer ahead on points again Lewis after 6 rounds, some have him ahead after 10. Vitali did no better against Lewis than Mercer did. In fact, it could be argued. he did worse since Mercer actually go to the end of the fight where as Vitali was stopped halfway through.
:good And Evander Hoylfield did much better. By the way Hoylfield had the same injury against Byrd and fought on. Vitali quit.
Sometimes I do not get these Vittards . . . they do not know how rules work. Then they make claims that they do not have a shred of evidence to back up. With their prediction that Vittles would have won if the fight if it went on totally suspends the facts that Lewis was coming on strong and had Vittles holding on like a drunken ***** at the end of the fight. Personally, i think any endevour to predict the outcome of what would happen if the fight continued is futile. However, the overwhelming evidence is that with Vittles face almost being ripped off and him holding on at the end of the last round . . . it really did not look good for Vittards that night.:deal
Well, Mercer may have been robbed against Lewis but this is not the point. Mercer did better against Lewis in the second half of the fight just like Holyfield just like Mavrovich. That would not bode well for Lewis if the fight with Vitali continued.
Exactly. Lewis has been documented with his KO's and decision wins that he fades off in the 2nd half of fights. Compare this to Vitali, who literally has never lost a round in the 2nd half of a fight throughout his whole career and KO's nearly everyone in the 2nd half.
It is the point because you claimed Lewis had never trailed on points to anyone except Vitali. Mercer disproves that notion. Admit you were wrong.
