    Steward did not say that.

He said "Lewis would have KO´ed Vitali in the 7the round!"

It's been 10 bloody years and people are still so riled up about this fight.

    Lennox won

    Lennox TKO6 Vitlay

Ladies and Gentlemen, after 6 grueling rounds of Heavyweight championship boxing here at Staples Center, Los Angeles, the bout is called to an end. Referee Lou Moret acting on the advice of doctor Paul Wallace at ringside has called a halt to the contest because of severe injuries suffered by Klitschko. The winner officially at the end of six rounds by TKO victory and STILL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, LENNOX LEWIS!!!!!

Shut up and get over it. Thanks.

Don't you know it's illegal to punch Vitali in the face?

Nice try, but "It was not a polished victory" means "It was a gift decision" and "He did get hurt and I don't know yet if he is going to fight again" means "Lewis will retire because he cannot take another beating like that."

No. "Not a polished victory" means its a victory but wasn't a good one, that he got the win but he didn't perform well. The term "gift decision" has no relevance whatsoever in regards to Lewis/Vitali because Lewis's victory came about through a legitimate stoppage caused by Vitali suffering severe cuts that were caused by Lewis's punches - and you have yet to prove otherwise.

A gift decision would be something like the one Ottke got against Reid or Adamek got against Cunningham or Helenius got against Chisora or Holyfield got against Lewis. A fight where they were clearly losing that went to the final bell and they won on points. That didn't happen when Lewis beat Vitali. The other interpretation of that term would be a bull**** stoppage like the one Vitali got against Charr but the stoppage in Lewis/Vitali was legitimate to anyone with eyes and bloody common sense.

The second part of that where Steward says Lewis got hurt and he didn't know if he would fight again was simply a statment of facts not some hidden code for "I know Lewis is going to retire". Saying Lewis got hurt by Vitali is self-evident. Saying he didn't know if Lewis would fight again shows that he didn't know if Lewis's heart and head were in the game anymore. Steward didn't know what was going through Lewis's mind in the aftermath of the Vitali fight and said so when asked by the media.

Steward wants to see the rematch like I and others because

Lewis would have won the rematch like he did before, even quicker.

Vitali had not the class to won against Lewis. That´s fore sure.

Lewis was the much better boxer and fighter.

In your previous post you made a point that got destroyed, now you act like you you never made that point but come back to Vitali retiring Lewis.

No again. It means Lewis had already spoken of retiring.
