Don't think anybody claims Danny a better win than Tyson legacy wise. Though it should be mentioned that Williams was in his absolute prime while Tyson was completely washed up.
This is my point. In spite of losing, the washed up version of Tyson was beating Williams comfortably until suffering a damaged knee. So which win is better? The one against a past it but still highly ranked fighter, or the one against the unranked guy who was losing to the past it fighter till his knee was blown out? Doesn't seem like something anyone would need a lot if time to think about.
Don't forget Vitali ducked Rahman. Meanwhile "one of the worst titleholders ever" John Ruiz beat Rahman. (Don't know why he's so underrated but many see him as no better than lets say Mariusz Wach) There is literally zero points to make to even begin thinking about Vitali being higher on atleast 1 or 2 points than Lewis. Instead of trying to make his own legacy it's only ever been winning 3-4 rounds against Lewis, something Frank Bruno managed. His only great achievement is beating Sam Peter in an extremely one sided fashion after coming off a big lay off. After that Vitali has only been fed slow sluggers. Vitali could have fought Rahman and beat him in a more decisive than Lewis if that's possible. He could have fought Ruiz and claim he fought the man Lewis refused to face atleast. He was a very good fighter in his prime but in the end the only reason people will remember Vitali is that he's Wlad's brother a legit ATG heavyweight.
Ruiz gets a bum rap because he's Roy Jones Jr's only victim at Heavyweight and Jones made Ruiz look like ****
Just in Lennox's Generation: Prime Tyson Prime Wlad Prime Vitali Prime Riddick Bowe would destroy that pathetic glass chin.
Lewis is so overrated and pushed by the English media that it's pathetic. 1. In 94 he was HW champ and was in his prime and got KO'd by a complete bum! 2. He beats bum after bum after bum to become champ 3. Almost gets KO'd by Shannon Briggs 4. Gets KO'd once again by a complete bum! 5. Fights Vitali and loses nearly every round and wins by a lucky cuts stoppage. He retires after the fight and doesn't give the rematch everyone wanted to see (mainly to see Lewis get KTFO'd) An overrated career and I don't know if he's as good as present day Tyson Fury. Maybe equivalent. Glass chins and bum feasters.
Rahman KO was a bull rush punch, anybody could be KO'd by that. Vitali fought the worse version of Briggs ever. Lewis was lazy Shannon Briggs is one of the hardest hitters ever, just not the best lander ever. Not KOd, the ref stopped the fight early. Since when is losing nearly every round winning 33%-50% of all rounds? Briggs has 30 first-round knockouts, more than any other heavyweight champion in history. On at least three occasions, Briggs has knocked out his opponent in less than 30 seconds btw.
