Can't lie when I read the thread title I assumed the poster was alluding to the Mercer fight. Then realized yawn another Vitali thread. For the Record I scored Mercer Lewis a draw. But I could see how people felt Mercer won.
Always had the upmost respect for guys that beat those that had wins against em,it's the HW division where one punch can change everything.
I know but being fair to lewis U can TECHNICALLY score him 7-8 career losses including DQ'S and ducks But to be fair I score his record 3 pro losses ha ha

Just rewatched Mercer-Lewis again. Damn Mercer was made of iron. Lewis hit him with everything and couldn't even buckle him. Even landed 2 consecutive uppercuts on Mercers ballsack and didn't even get a reaction. Ray makes Vitali look like Malik Scott in comparison. A legit iron chin.
Excellent fight. I had Mercer winning and I wish Lewis had done the honourable thing and given Ray a rematch.
Agreed. Lewis came on well in the mid rounds but Mercer swept most of the early ones and just a few of the last ones to deserve a draw or a win. A very underrated, rarely talked about fight. One of the few times we've seen Lennox in a brawl.
