Oh, they mad. It's funny, Schmeling KO12 Louis doesn't make me mad. :conf It's a part of the fabric of my all-time favorite boxer's legend. It helped form his character. It cannot be erased from the record books. The only emotional reaction to it that I have is "Man, Max was a bad ass to have done that to Joe. :think" These Vitali Klitschko fans are singularly unique in that they have a very hard time with the acceptance and moving on stages of their boy suffering a legitimate defeat in a prizefight.
yea I've wondered about that too....who was Vitali set to face on the undercard? McCall? and Kirk Johnson, was he in better shape than how he showed up against Vitali
Of course, they'll say "At least Schmeling was brave enough to give a rematch!! :rant" Schmeling was also in his early - not late - thirties for both meetings. :deal
On 10 days notice Old Fat Lewis ripped apart Prime Quitali's face. Why does Quitali deserve a rematch for losing his one shot at the passing of the torch moment? He dropped the torch like the glasshearted sore loser he is. Rematches are given out to champions losing their titles in upsets, or close fights that demand a rematch. Ripping a stand-in's face apart in under 6 rounds is anything but rematch worthy.
you use the term 'fans' very loosely; i would say trolls....they are on both sides of this fence.... I think many would just like Vitali to be respected for his performance....it was a very close and very entertaining fight.....with the majority of the controversy coming in hindsight under speculation and fabrication case in point: expect "Klittites" to respond with Lewis hatred decent discussion is lost in this abyss....abandon hope all who enter TKO6
I've looked back and read some old Lewis vs Klitschko theads and they always seem to be started by a Klitlicker. It's like they think repeating something enough times can convince everyone that it is true. They were the ones who desperately needed to prove they were right. The rest of us know that Lewis TKO6 and never needed to start threads because we had facts and the truth on our side.
:good And Lewis was training for Kirk Johnson. So both fighters where in training for a fight and the opponent changed on short notice.
A 37 year old fat Lewis beat the breaks of a peak prime Vitali :hey TKO6 For Life. This thread for life.
Lewis was training for a HW title fight, Vitali was training for a bum on the undercard If Vitali got 6 months to train he would have finished Lewis in the 2nd round, not have him stunned and out on his feet.
There's a difference between KO'ing the other guy and losing by cuts. At least Schmeling had the balls to give a rematch. If Lewis had the balls for a rematch, there wouldn't be this problem. Lewis fans are mad, not Vitali fans.
