Funny story behind the thread title: the only reason I rendered it "T.K.O. in 6" as opposed to just "TKO6" is because of formatting limitations in vBulletin (the software this forum ran on when I made this, before the admins switched over several years ago to Xenforo). For some reason when you made a title in all caps, without a single letter in lowercase, it automatically dropped everything to lowercase. I believe the dots in "T.K.O." might have been because of a similar further buggy issue where individual words couldn't even be all capitals - only the first letter, so everything after it would be made small under the narrow assumption that caps should only ever be used for beginnings of sentences or proper nouns (a problem which you could obviously circumvent easily by interrupting with a punctuation mark, which thankfully still satisfied my OCD and literarily prescriptive brain because, well, initialisms in fact are appropriately written with or without periods between each letter. It just so happens that in online boxing parlance, mostly borrowed from pre-internet boxing newspaper jargon, the convention in everyday use - but nowhere a strict codified rule - is to generally omit them.) tl;dr, if I had made this thread now (or in the last eight or nine years or however long it's been since the software switch) its title would have been TKO6. But now, all because of a coding bug forcing my hand, this alternate one has entered ESB lore, at least.
It's with great honour that I get to bump this thread into 2024. Vitali got smashed 38 year old Lenny handled 31 year old Vitali. Haters gonna hate.
Klitschko fanboys say that Vitali was ahead on the scorecards. The score at the time of the stoppage was 58-56. Wow, Vitali was up by two whole points! But Klitschko fanboys act like Vitali was pitching a shutout before Lewis got a lucky stoppage.
Same with Khan and Canelo. KHAN WAS WINNING! And? He couldn´t even make it out of the 5th round. What a winner.
TKO6 is one of the most infamous threads not just in the boxing world but the entirety of the internet. Never before has such a visceral reaction been garnered from the outcome of a boxing match, in till Fury KO's Usyk by a bodyshot on the legal beltline.
I am going to come out of retirement to commemorate 20 years anniversary of Vitali retiring Lewis and starting his iron fist rule of HW division.
Did not know that after years, VK is almost blind in that eye? He has these weird lenses now to aid his vision, apparently due to that fight. Thankfully the ref saved Vitali when he did.
