if rampage doesn't go back to his wrestling, use a jab, feint, go to the body, fire in combos, throw the odd kick etc then he'll lose again.
Rampage has never been much of a wrestler. He even says this himself. Problem with Rampage is he fell in love with his power a loooong time ago. He's game has no variety. He doesnt got for TD's. Nor does he vary his striking. Rashad will do the same and intelligently out strike him. Rampages only hope is a KO. Unless he starts changing up his routine's in camp.
Rashad and Rampage slapped each other and got in each others face recently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UopY04YdwPg
Could someone please remind me how Rashid lost his title, it was like he beat rampage, and then he lost his title somehow?
Very true. Rampage has to be one of the most frustrating fighters to watch. Not much creativity or IQ in the ring, unfortunately. He can really be frustrating just as he can be really exciting to watch. It's sooo obvious he will conduct the same game plan as usual, refuse to check leg kicks, try to counter with a left hook and come over with a looping power right hand. The problem is that he isn't the fastest guy to get away with doing the same thing over and over again By the way, on the Rashad topic, he would have so much more potential if someone actually taught him how to throw a punch. He has some of the nastiest technique, even if he does carries power. He would have more power with effective technique. I'm wondering if the coaches ever thought of actually trying to show him good form to maximize the effects of his punches.
Wow Thanks, lost track of space and time, was thinking Rashid and rampage was after Machida. By the way I've just read that t Silva has almost certainly failed his drug test for UFC 125 which is why the fight is off. It's not been announced at all the pointers are there.
