The Tartar giant Nicolai Valuev was generally regarded as perhaps the finest heavyweight in the history of the sport. A man who could have had Dempsey for a light snack then washed it down with Louis and Liston. A man who hunted wild boar with nothing but a knife in his massive hand.

Some argue for greats like the American giant Tye Fields who sported a gaudy 49-5 record with 44 knockouts. There might be some noise made for Nicolai Firtha and the legendary African tribal warrior: Courage Tshabalala. But most boxing historians rate the Russian giant #1. He was aesthetically pleasing to watch as well as having a granite chin and frightening power.

Taishon Dong is the new up and coming heavyweight sensation from China who recently had his pro debut. Standing an imposing 7ft. tall he has all the tools to possibly equal, if not exceed, the greatness of the Russian giant. Dong might well be the largest boxer on the planet right now. In the future will we calling him: King Dong?

He looks sensational. They way he brutally destroyed the dangerous Alex Rozman with such great pin point skill and accuracy. He'll be the man to dethrone Klitschko in a couple of years.

In all honesty the circus freak doesn't look too bad to say that was his debut, stick him in with a good trainer and he could do something the way the division is nowadays.

He's slow handed, wide, and can be countered. I doubt he becomes a top ten heavyweight.

A better Chinese prospect is Zhang (check spelling) who was a decent amateur super heavyweight. Zhang lost to Cammerelle, and Glazkov, but he's much better than this guy and stands about 6 foot 8 inches tall.

If you're looking for a serious answer, then this guy is going to crash and burn as soon as he fight anyone even remotely decent.
I even believe that if you let Dong and Rozman rematch a couple of times, Rozman might even get lucky once.

If you're looking for another type of answer, then he's the next big thing in baxxin'
Too big, too slick, too strong, too chinese. He's a Godzilla, he's a dawg, 1-0 nothing left or right too prove! Stumble big man, stumble! :ibutt

Had hopes for him at first, considering Valuevs achievements, but reviewing tape, it becomes horribly apparent he has Wilder-itis....

Which not only does he have the rare bone disease causing giantism, but he's got toothpick legs.:-(

    Great does not equal skill.
I remember a sumo wrestler one day (Akebono) who got knocked out in K1.

Why not wait for the guy to suffer a Ko loss to some 5-3 fighter before calling him a freak and a loser and all that?
