Takahiro Ao was solid and quite forgotten nowadays but Uchiyama was a hellacious puncher and a level or so above Ao imo.
I remember when it was talked about, when the two were holding titles at the same time for a while. I never thought it would be particulary competitive. Ao was not sharp enough as a boxer and would be badly overpowered. Uchiyama was much superior fighter - and I'm still a bit sad He did not get the chance to fight Mikey Garcia when Bob wanted to make that fight happen in Macau.
