Wilder hits very hard but I see him winning a close and somewhat unconvincing decision. Takam is tough enough to take his punches I think and defensively he is a better fighter than Wilder. However I think Takam would be somewhat cautious like he was against Joshua and Wilder would win many rounds due to being a lot taller and from higher output across the 12 rounds.
Right, Wilder literally brags about not doing road work and that his right hand power is so substantial that he doesn't need to work on inside fighting, bodywork, hooks, jab, etc. Who really wants to see that in a champion and whats wrong with his team allowing that?
Takam has such a tight guard, I really doubt wilder gets through it not accurate enough. I'd pick Wilder by Decision but I agree Takam has a legit shot
Takam is the ultimate foil for you guys. You know he can't beat anybody actually good so you like that he isn't really a threat. Same with Breazeale, and Tony Thompson before he got too old. Takam can't even be busy enough to win rounds, you're insane.
I don't think he'd stop Wilder, he isn't a big puncher and he doesn't have the highest work rate. But he'd be the best opponent Wilder has fought to date and remember Szpilka and Washington were very competitive with him before the KO came. I suspect Wilder would win a close decision, might even be a bit controversial.
I don't think it is trolling to suggest a 2 week standby opponent is better than anyone on Wilders resume. I don't think it is trolling to suggest Breazeale and Whyte are better than any of Wilders voluntary defences. I don't think it's trolling to suggest Parker has a better resume than Wilder. I don't think it is trolling to call Wilder out on his trash resume, he is unproven.
I'm convinced that Takam would beat Wilder, I don't see how Wilder could deal with that movement. He would be BAMBOOZLED. I mean look at Wilder's best opponent (Stiverne), who only won a vacant belt vs an old and shot never was been Arreola. Is Stiverne any better than Whyte or Chisora types? I don't think so. Wilder has looked decent in knocking guys out because they have mostly been hand-picked, Glass Jawed opponents who are more often than not featherfisted also. When you're behind on the cards vs guys like Spilzka and Washington, it doesn't bode well for facing the best in the division.
Id rather see Takam vs Wilder than Stirverne. Already seen Stirverne get beat convincingly by Wilder. In saying that Stirverne should put up a better fight this week.
