i thought it was a straight right to the face that dropped him, but ya'll were saying body shot so i kept my mouth shut, since i wasn't sure. he sure looked unconscious for a bit, not like a body shot. he got popped in the eye and it started bothering him in the 1st round, i know that much.
His eye did look pretty hurt in the first the way he was squinting through it during the initial pummeling
Boxingnews.jp seem to be confused too "And Uchiyama while butting the jab is shoot the one-two, this explodes in the face of Jomuton. Body of Jomuton is I collapse on the canvas shaking and squash."
Wayy too soon for a 9-0 pro to be getting in there with someone like Uchiyama, from what I know, Jomthong is a 2 sport champ right? But unfortunately, with little boxing amateur pedigree. Could be wrong.
Thing is, he just, at only 8-0, beat Daiki Kaneko - who dropped Uchiyama and gave him a tough fight a couple of years ago.
Kaneko fought a great fight against Uchi but I don't think Uchi was on his A-game that night, was put on his ass, he did box him decently well however to wide scores. Never really thought Jomthong could take that power imo when they announced this fight, at all. If Uchi lands big shots, it was probably going to be over quite quick. :yep
Maybe this knockout convince him to pick one and stick to it. Boxing isn't something you can do part time.
:nod Pacquiao would've destroyed Mayweather on Sat if he wasn't busy being a politician in the Philippines.
