I knew that as well, and that's why I also think he might. I think he should reconsider until he gets another shot at a title. But hey, he became a champ, something no one expected.

How many boxers can claim that they won the highest honor in the sport and by KO too. :D

    Phils.

And I wonder what is actually the nationality of who sang it.

    The words are mispronounced.

Okay, I'll let IB post what happened.

But Farenas survived and actually landed some punches. :D

Oh well, Uchiyama will end it this round.

Uchiyama in control with his left jab. Farenas lunging upward and missing with the southpaw 1-2. Uchiyama defending with head movement and countering with the jab.

    Round 2

Uchiyama loops a right hand to stem a Farenas flurry. Jabs to the head. Awkward clinch, head clash. Uchiyama might be cut. Warning to Farenas. Wild lefts to the body by Farenas, falling off balance. Clinch. Steady jab by Uchiyama. Farenas flopping in, causing more clashes. Uchiyama keeps him out with the jab and then dives atop his back with a right hand. Very sloppy action on the inside. Uchiyama lands an uppercut, straying low. Farenas flopping all over, throwing wild lefts and missing. Uchiyama keeps the jab on him.

    20-18 Uchiyama

    Round 3

Uchiyama flicks his jab in the pocket. Farenas paws his right jab up at him. Cautious dance. Uchiyama's eye is badly cut from a butt.

They pause to check it out. It's too bad.

    OVER!

This has got to be one of the most unsatisfying time for a Filipino boxing fan.

A champion is lost, the other never had any closure.

Would've been better if Farenas got KO'd cleanly instead.
