Farenas definitely ruined Uchiyama's record though.

At least, the 0 is still there.

Good to see my Nipponese doing well, although Jaro and Farenas acquitted themselves well.

Interesting to see what Igarashi does going forward. Does he stay at the weight and defend in Japan, pursue possible unification with the winner of the proposed Viloria/Marquez bout, or move up in weight and target the conqueror of the only man to defeat him as a pro?

Sucks that Uchiyama had to settle for a TD, but it doesn't sound like he was performing badly prior to the stoppage.

Actually, a rematch with Shimizu might be a good starting point for his first defense. It can probably headline a card in Japan, and I'd imagine Shimizu is still ranked feasibly high enough to contend having just been the champion in a rival org. Plus the common h2h opponent - especially if he outshined Singwancha in the rematch with Shimizu, stopping him earlier or in more impressive fashion - would drum up interest in that pan-Asian unification.

It was shaping up to be one of those very ugly fights that has a very satisfying conclusion when the guy responsible for it being so ugly gets KTFO. :yep

I really wanted Sonny Boy to win. I was chanting throughout reading RBR. Since they showed it later then expected I couldn't watch live.

Uchiyama fight sounds very dead so I will check out the Jaro-Igarashi video tonight, thanks for the RBR.
