Freaking hell Russell Mora actually calls low blows and stops the fight before a boxer gets absolutely mauled. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEPImCfH_Ss :scaredas:
While I think that triangle theory does tend to prove right more often than not, its hardly consistent....and it tends to lose even more consistency when someone starts comparing "who won in better fashion" when both fighters dominated the common opponent (it's better when one dominates where the other struggles see Gambo vs.Mtagwa/Salido and Juan Manuel Lopez vs Mtagwa/Salido). Gamboa looked spectacular knocking down Solis 5 times in 4 rounds no doubt. However, it's not like Uchiyama had too difficult of a time with Solis. He pretty much won every single round (except maybe 1), battered and bloodied Solis until he put him on ice for about 10 minutes in the 11th while wearing Winning gloves. Uchiyama was never going to look the kind of dominant as Gamboa did against Solis, but he was dominant in his own way. Also, I disagree on Farenas, I didn't think he looked very good against Uchiyama before the draw (which would have been ruled a no contest if it wasn't for Japanese rules) and like IB I thought Uchiyama was on his way to probably making a relatively easy nights work of Farenas.
This fight would be great because it would be the best vs the best. But it may not be as interesting as people think.....I will give Tak credit, of all the active boxers Tak reminds me the most of a young Roberto Duran (i.e. a fundamentally sound, hard hitting, come-forward boxer). When you think about the styles match up it gets pretty interesting. Gamboa is an ambush fighter. Tak works behind a jab and uses defense and durability to get to spots where he can throw devastating punches. Tak's got the size and technical ability to not get overwhelmed by Gamboa's speed and power. The question is whether or not his foot work would be good enough to catch-up to gamboa. The Gamboa that last fought would end up in a dog fight. It wouldn't be pretty and he'd probably get KOed. Gamboa originally started his career at around 130-134 lbs but his handler's correctly realized that he wasn't at his most effective power and speed wise at this weight and had him cut down to 126lbs. If his last performance was more to do with the weight then ring rust then I'd give Tak a very good chance of being the winner. But if Gamboa was just really really rusty and in the future he'll look better at this weight then I think Tak would get beaten all ends up because I don't think he'd have the foot speed to follow Gamboa around the ring. Just my opinion but I'd expect Gamboa to be better then his last fight and it think he has the ability to make this an easy nights work.
I think Takashi could really check that chin. If Gamboa gets reckless and gets caught by one of Takashi's huge right hands, it could well mean Gamboas lights will be turned off for real.
atsch NO ****ING WAY BRO,..FARENAS WAS LANDING THE LEFT OVER AND OVER IN 3 ROUNDS,..HE WAS FARENAS WAS WINNING THE FIGHT,....AND IF U JUDGE GAMBOA 1ST 3 ROUNDS AGAINST FARENAS AND THE 3 WITH UCHIYAMA,..GAMBOA WAS LOOKING ALOT BETTER... DONT TALK **** WHEN U SPEAKING OUT YA ASSWHOLE... GO REWATCH THE FIGHT KID.
Farenas-Uchiyama was your typical Uchiyama fight where it was quite obvious Takashi would grow as the fight went on and possibly stopped Farenas late. The major difference between Farenas and Uchiyama is that Takashi can put on more relentless pressure and has a major league punch. Farenas damn near turned Gamboas lights off, Uchiyama very likely could turn them off.
Hating on gamboa seems like the thing to do from these haters,.. Keep hating gamboa will keep winning and yall will keep looking like ****.. Yall are a bunch of coward ass bums with the boxing i.q. Of a fire fly.
Why would you act such a dramatic princess for someone who you don't even know in real life? I mean step back and look at yourself for a second, you look outright pathetic. Why can't people voice their opinions, educated or not, without you calling them cowardice "ass" bums? The fact of the matter is, Gamboa is chinny, and Uchiyama could very likely end the fight in brutal fashion should he land his monstrous punch.
get the **** outa here with that ****,... Anybody can put any1 to sleep with the right punch and timing.. No ****ing duh???!!!! But it wont happen,..gamboa is the truth.deal with it.
Whatever man, I'm done with you. Don't know why you would be so emotionally invested in a boxer who does not know of your mere existence. Gamboa is chinny, that's been a well established fact around our boxing fraternity for the longest. Now nobody is saying he isn't incredibly skilled and incredibly talented, but fighting against equally skilled or equally talented boxers, there comes a time when you need to have a punch resistence.
***** shut yo punk ass up u coward,.. I can say whatever the **** i wanna say ***** why u responding to what iam saying u ****** and i do know gamboa personally u bum go play in traffic and kick rocks u bum
Who would've guessed, not only does this person LOOK ******ed, he actually is ******ed. Nobody is insulting him, yet he goes off like someone has inserted an iron rod into his anus, when people voice rather truthful opinions on Gamboas lack of punch resistence.
