Yes, but I also didn't expect Floyd to come in with a pot shotting gameplan, I expected him to come in and throw combinations and rip him inside and outside, when Floyd adjusted and started to do such, the fight went exactly as I thought it would go. Either way, I was wrong about Floyd winning every single round, fair enough.
I figured PBF needed to gain his bearings and figure him out. Truth be told, it was the 3rd round where he figured him out, the 4th round he showed it, I really think he took the 5th round off and then just broke him down from there. In the 6th, PBF stopped moving backwards as much, and even when Hatton swarmed and bullied, PBF would turn his shoulder into him and not budge (PBF stronger than many thought.....). Once PBF got going, it wasn't very close.
Guess what he still loss! I thought it was competitive but he still loss! You can get your ass whooped and not get swept in boxing! Your boi loss twice! get over it! You must of cried:| when Hatton knocked him out (well I think he gave up, i dont know which is worst)! Just pray that margarito gets it together and becomes a number 1 contender! Don't let your pride get in the way of good judgement and make you seem desperate! There will be another great mexican fighter!!!
Good post. I honestly think that PBF was toying with Hatton from the 7th round on. They way he baited him into that check hook was proof.
Castillo Fought even better in the rematch. It was 7-5 PBF though because Floyd didn't allow Castillo to save up for a rally at the end. Castillo started very very slow the first time. And he might have been stronger than floyd thought because he was very stronge in the 12 rd. in the first fight. They both fought better in the rematch though, it wasn't just floyd
It was a close fight. As was the first fight. I think Floyd won both, anyhow. Castillo's been the only one that's given Floyd any problems ever, really. Man, you're going to make me go back and watch them again now. Not that I mind of course.
Its a pattern in Floyd fights. He has close fights and then Floyd fans act as if it was a blow out and Floyd wasnt even touched. Lets take DLH fight. They wanna tell me that DLH couldnt land anything on Floyd but I watched it in slow motion and DLH lands some clean punches to the body and bloodied his nose, yea he wasnt connecting high % but what was Floyd doing in the early rounds? Nothing, running away and hiding in the corner. Even the Hatton fight, masterful performance by Floyd. If you havent seen the fight and read some of the posts here you would think that Floyd danced, smiled and potshotted Hatton without getting hit with even 1 punch but in reality it was an even fight for 6 rounds until the point deduction and Hatton was making it rough for the entire fight.
He didn't predict the "check hook" as hatton was leaping in just like me though. That was the mother of all predictions.
If I remember Floyd won the last couple rounds clearly, and Castillo seemed visibly discouraged in a way he has never seemed in any other fight, as if he knew he had lost. I think those last few rounds, particularly Castillo's body language stick with people and not the competitive mid rounds.
