I agree, he was doing the Roy Jones at that point, his guards being completely down, baiting Hatton to come in.

I'd have to watch it again when I have time as it has been a while, but I remember it was a solid win, but not a "blowout" or anything like that. I need to see the fight again however to break down the rounds.

I always just go with he had a controversial victory in the 1st fight, and a uncontroversial victory in the 2nd fight. It's also important to note that Floyd was injured in the 1st fight and I feel that is overlooked quite a bit.

I also think Floyd has improved as a fighter a lot from those fights.

I don't see how you could say Floyd swept the fight if you've seen it.

I think the diference between the first fight and the second fight is that in the second fight, Floyd wasn't really in trouble in the rounds he lost.

Everyone has a fighter they just can't do that well against, even if they win. This is all I see Jose Luis Castillo as (when talking about him fighting Floyd that is, I think he's still a great fighter). I don't know why people make such a big deal out of Floyd having a hard time with him. Does him having a hard time with Jose Luis Castillo make what he's done against other opponents any less great?

I just don't see why its such a big deal.

If anything, despite the fact that the decision was possibly a little off, I would think Floyd's performance in the first fight would make people like him a little more.

And last, after Floyd's recent performance against Hatton, I would have to think he's gotten a bit better since the Castillo fight. I can't help feeling like if they fought again (that is, if somehow Floyd now fought against a prime Castillo), Floyd would fare MUCH better.

    Agree (for once, regarding Mayweather)

This fight was very close and competitive, but still clearly 7-5 or 7-4-1 to Mayweather (which really means 8-4 is okay too).

I seen that fight and Castillo won no rounds ... Floyd moved great, he caught Castillo coming in. Hell it was a replay of Hatton v Floyd minus the knockout. Castillo was following Mayweather's lead and getting caught trying to set something up.

Floyd was poppin Castillo's head back ... Floyd let Castillo have his moments but not enough to win any rounds.

Thought Castillo sneaked the first fight. But Floyd finished strongly in the 2nd fight(he seems to pace his fights brilliantly) to win 7-5 or 8-4.
    Both fights were VERY competitive.

I think the word your looking for is moronic. It was a lot closer than you make out.

So then you should be able to find someone who said JLC got whooped.

Ive never seen someone asy JLC got whooped in the 2nd fight. Ive always heard Floyd won a clear UD over him.

    Its my opinion right?

who the **** are you to say what my opinion is ...

Thats how I viewed the fight ... officially Floyd won ... and no matter how anyone views it -- no one disputes that Castillo lost.

In your previous post you said Castillo didn't win a round. Thats the definition of moronic.
It was a tense, tough fight and Floyds best win because he really earned it.
Don't be so sensetive, this is esb after all.:D
