I dont usually post videos of my fights but I couldnt resist posting this one, so anyway I took the fight & won unanimous, not a particularly good fight really he was a far better boxer than I thought he didnt hit that hard to have a 100% stoppage ratio. I'm in the Red corner

Would appreciate some tips on how I can improve from some of the more senior amateurs & coaches on ESB

Congrats on the win! and good for you for fighting. I couldn't watch all of the video though as i was frustrated with your right hand. HOLD IT UP, and bring it back to your face after you throw it too! Nice work keeping it busy though. also, your head movement isnt EXACTLY head movement, you bounce around a bit much with the legs. It's not exactly a bad thing but it can really throw you off balance with certain types of fighters, so i'd not stop bouncing, but don't do it ALL the time. Good Job :good

Congratulations on taking the fight. I think you have alot of potential as a boxer, good footwork and fluid movement. The main thing I'd look at improving is being abit more efficient with that movement, maybe it was nerves but I think you were moving more than you had to. Also something to look out for is you seem to move straight back when the right is coming at you. Abit more variety in your punches would be helpful aswell, I'm a southpaw aswell and a couple of times when you were moving forward in that video and he had the high guard up I was just thinking 'man whip that left to the body'. Just my opinion though, I'm not really qualified but that's what I see. Nice job though and you already win for taking the fight, keep it up man.

Mate, are you in 3 PARA? I just saw that on the back of your jersey. Anyrate, you have a lot of potential. Although you are a spawn of Satan left-hander, you get that lefty jab in their really quickly. I would be careful not to drop it low when you bring it back. You look like you're built something like me; long and tall. You want to have steady footwork then. You've got good handspeed, just make sure you don't cross your feet when you move, they come a little bit close together. I would really work on footwork because being built like we are you need to have a steady base to go on. Other than that you looked pretty good, just make sure not to bring your chin up when you throw punches. Good for you for taking the fight.

You leave your chin way up in the sky. You bring your right hand back way too low your opponent saw this and tried to slip it everytime and load up on the left hook which worked everytime he did it just not enough. You seemed scared to throw the left hand or put any real power behind it. You need to be on your toes more at least as you dont move your head or have a good guard so movement would need improving at least.

    Decent win though.

Yeah mate I'm in 3 PARA, was boxing for a civvi club that night cos our season's over, when I train I always bring my jab back to my chin but in a fight I prefer to slip or dodge shots rather than takin em on the gloves, I'm always gettin warned bout stickin out my chin just a bad habit really,

I was moving alot cos I was a bit worried bout his punch power, but once his punches stopped hurting I settled in better, gonna work on the straight left to the body its the best shot a southpaw has.

My friend who was in 4 PARA referred to it as the Regiment (I'm assuming this is because the unit is called the Parachute Regiment).
