I've seen a lot of training (mma mostly) where you have a guy throw body punches and you keep your arms out of the way and just take them. Is this kind of training worth it? or will it just make you bruise and give no results
Tip for taking body shots. Take a quick sharp breathe out when you about to take a body shot and tense your abs.. It will get rid of most of the air in your lungs and you won't be winded. Avoid breathing in on impact at all times.
I was asking myself about the efficiency of it and doubting about this practise and yesterday I saw a tv-show with a kung-fu master doing this kind of practise, he was hitting his student with 3 kinds of stick everywhere on the upper-body front and back, and after a couple of days the guy didn't feel anything because with practise you can modify the signals sent to your brain and "choose" between them. Looks like it works...
Ive never seen that at my gym as apart of our Muay Thai classes before we start we do alot of ab work and something we do is blast each others abs with a Thai pad then do a V situp repeat that for 3 sets of 15.
