This will expose all these ridiculous, phony fights getting billed as 'championship bouts' to us the fans.

Where a guy like Stiverne is clinically obese, pissing gravy or the Luis Ortiz bout where poor guy had such high blood pressure NY commission was phoning nearby Nursing Homes to see if they have any openings.

A more cynical fella than me would suggest that this thread exists solely to bash a certain heavyweight....

That Stiverne rematch was a fix to get Wilder momentum, hence why Stiverne was ludicrously made mandatory despite his last fight being two years prior against Derrick Rossy. Don King & Stiverne were down to do business.

Dusty Nichols had lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels than Old Man River Ortiz and Bermane ''B. Sick'' Stiverne and a lot of people don't even know that he wasn't in the best shape for the Donkey fight.

Blood Glucose Levels also should be shown, Stiverne had severe dehydration in the first bout with Wilder due to Diabetes

Cassius Clay at the prefight medical exam prior to bout with Liston :Blood pressure200/100, his pulse rate out of control (these figures did return to normal by fight night as we all know)

Tony Galento more obese than Silverne, over imbider of alcohol, smoker and strong disliker of training....

Harry Greb fought with partial vision

The above did ok in title fights, think some even won titles

Merely on basis of confidentiality regarding health records, no boxer should be required to have the results of any medical examination publicised, if health issue identified that is down to the sanctioning body medics etc to act upon.

Many folk would not know what a normal blood count or such was anyway, and a normal cholesterol or blood pressure test means nothing if the person is taking medication to control these, are you suggesting we should know what medications boxers are taking too?

If boxer passes the prefight medical then i say they are fit to fight, i hear the doctors who do these medicals have read big books about bodies and stuff, and know all the big words, so let's leave it to them to police this area.

Not seeking argument, just suggesting medical tests are private and even if health issues are present it the medics who decide fight fitness.

Yes, and then an even more cynical fellow would bring up the name Rigondeaux in response to the OP. But we wouldn't do that.

Been thinking the same thing. Would also like to add:

    Reaction time
    Choice reaction time
    Vertical leap

Etc so you can see if somebody has got "shot" (old)

That isn't it. Stiverne and Povetkin were scheduled in an eliminator. Povetkin failed the Peds test, again:

In 2016, the WBC ordered mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin to fight Stiverne for the interim WBC heavyweight title.[10]

On November 11, the WBC were informed that Stiverne had tested positive for the banned substance methylhexaneamine. Stiverne claimed he ingested a supplement without knowing it contained the banned substance. The WBC took into account that it was Stiverne's first offence when making its ruling and fined him $75,000.[11][12] Just 20 hours before the fight was to take place, the WBC withdrew its sanction of the fight stating Povetkin had failed a drug test for ostarine. Stiverne declined to fight Povetkin.
