May 31st - Mosley vs Judah - both guys have some incredible names on their CV's: ODLH, Vargas, Winky, Cotto, Collazo, Forrest, Mayweather, Baldo, Spinks, Tszyu... Lots of common opponents - the who's who! Intriguing fight which doesn't get much coverage here. What are your guys opinion on how it will go? I also hear that Lacy has been added to the undercard.
Yeah I'm surprised that there hasnt been more said of this fight in the UK, but I suppose both fighters are past their peak now. My head says Mosley, but if there's one thing I've learned it's never bet against Zab Judah. So I'll go for Zab over 12 rounds. Probably still slightly quicker than Mosley, slightly more active and younger.
Yeah man, he's cost me money against Witter, DeMarcus Corley and Spinks II. Although I knew both Floyd and Cotto would wipe the floor with him I still refused to back them. Its like everytime I bet on one of his opponents he comes to life and fights like he's capable of fighting. I'm sure he knows my bookie and just waits to see what bet I've put on before he decides whether to turn up or not :fire
Only a fool would have bet against Zab vs Witter - we all know that Witter is a big mate of Johnny Nelson, and we all remember what happened to Nelson in his first title effort. He choked, just like Junior! I think Zab will be put out of his misery by SSM, OK he is younger, but hasn't fought top opposition since Cotto, whilst SSM should have beaten Cotto if we're honest!
This is gonna be a great fight! I can't wait. I like both fighters a ton, but I think I'll be goin out on a limb and against the tide and take Zab in a thriller.
I'm no Witter fan, but to call him a choker by association is a little unfair. There was no one on Zab's CV at the time other than an ageing Micky Ward and the fight was in UK, I well fancied Witter at the time! I realise now that he didnt have a chance, but that was before Zab hit his prime and we all knew how good he was.
Perhaps so - my point being that Johnny will have been around him in the build up to the fight and as a mentor to him, may not have helped. I actually like Johnny Nelson as well! Erm..... getting back to Zab - I think that when focused he is a great fighter, but those days seem few and far between at the moment, and excuses always appear to impede reasoning, and the fault is always someone elses. Perhaps this is American boxing culture (as we have seen with Hopkins recently), I don't know.
