The earmuff routine by Pacquaio was after Cotto had taken some big shots and was in the process of getting beat down......early one through say the first 4+ rounds, Cotto was pulling the trigger very crisply...... .....what has to be done here however is to give Pacquiao credit for taking some tremendous shots from Cotto and coming back at him..... .....it became a war of attrition from the 3rd round on, and Pacquiao was just too fast and the better conditioned fighter to wear Cotto down. Lets get this straight, Pacquiao's stamina is so much better than Cotto's, it always has been. Cotto got worn down in his biggest fights....he turned to running away down the late stretch in his fights with Mosley, Margarito, and Pacquiao.
Pac is a freak of nature. They guy uses his strengths to the fullest and I have to give Freddy some credit with helping Pac with that. Speed combined with accurate punches (not so much power)... I don't think Pac has crazy power he is just so fine tuned that his punches are on the money 99% of the time. He needs someone in his corner with more expierance and someone who is a proven defensive master. I think he will keep the same team but will add someone. He gets hit way to much. He just not fundementally sound on the defensive end.
When Cotto sat on the stool at the end of the first he looked very in control etc but then his trainer said something like "all he has is the left" and sent him out for the 2nd Terrible instructions from the corner..how naive and stupid can you get? That was when I knew Cotto was in deep ****
:goodFully agree, there was a time in the 10th and 11th when he was doing the 'come get me' backwards skip as if to say 'that all you got' , i turned to my cousins and said whatever happens 'Cotto is a tough motha****a' *I was a neutral in this fight and just looked forward to a good fight. I just saw the stoppage again and I swear Bayless is a cocksucker who had a bet running
