Talking about Floyd vs GGG @ 160 is just dumb, and pathetic.

Pac also had a 154 title, that would be fair game also, right?

You're going in the wrong direction. My point is that Pac has already come up a lot (much more than Mayweather).

You want your cake and to eat it too.

Floyd can't be a "Top 10 ATG fighter" if he is only willing to fight from 130-147 (and an occasional 154). Too many fighters have already done this.

Many reasons people think Manny is greater than Floyd was his ability to climb more divisions than Mayweather is/has done.

Floyd has the better resume though, that's irrefutable. And he's already regarded as a top 15 ATG by most aficionados.

I have him a little higher.

130>154 is already enough, 5 is also very very amazing.

Floyd needs to stay at 47, he's 38 years of age and closing it at 39. Nothing more ever to prove man.

Beat Brook/Porter/Amir/Garcia, 2 of them and end his career. Nothing more ever to prove.

Mayweather is a full-blown welterweight who weighed around 160 for Maidana. Pacquiao doesn't even belong at welterweight. He's a natural 140 pounder.

He had a title at 154, it would be fair game. It's not like he's fought at 140 since 2009.

And where's your proof that he came in at 160 against Maidana anyways?

I've never heard of this. Maybe I'm wrong.

All I know is that he came in at 149 vs Pac on the night of the game. He should stay at 147.

If you pay attention to Pacquiao's training camps, he's always around 140 in the middle of training camp, hits around 142-143 maybe two to one week before, and then will be 144-145 for the weigh in.

He'll be so much more comfortable at 140. It'd be easy for him. His team, and Pacquiao himself, said that it'd be easy to make 135 even.

I believe it was Maidana 2. It might have been Robert Garcia. I'm trying hard to remember who it was, but they were there when Mayweather weighed himself fight night and they said they were shocked because he weighed more than Maidana. I'll try to find it for you!

Who has him in the top 15?

If I were Floyd I wouldn't fight GGG. If he loses there are a lot more questions.

Hopefully he does fight someone better than Khan or someone that has already lost.

That's just what Robert Garcia said.

Sr also said Floyd could fight at 140 if he really wanted to.

    Doesn't matter.

He hasn't fought at 54 for years now and he shouldn't now.

    What questions?

He's 38, close to 39. His physical traits have left him already, mostly.

He has nothing more to prove.

Even if he loses to Paulie, it does nothing.

I agree with most of it, but if you're so confident he'd beat GGG at 160, why wouldn't you want him to make the fight?

If you think Floyd beats him then what's the problem with the fight?

it is not dumb for an atg boxer but perhaps for a money driven one only because health comes first. floyd campaigned and held a belt at 154 which is what ggg is challenging and not 160. at today's boxing, if you can make the weight then you can qualify a fight at that weight so it's not dumb. floyd's size is nearly the same as ggg actually. you can verify that on his cotto, canelo, and dela hoya fights, all of which are potential ggg opponents which makes floyd a legitimate one also. hehehe
