For some time now I have asserted that Shane Mosley not only used performance enhancing drugs, but did so knowingly. There is already physical evidence that he used performance enhancing drugs, and the circumstancial evidence overwhelmingly points to him doing so knowingly. Despite the decked being stacked against him, Shane decided to pursue an ill advised defemation of character lawsuit against Victor Conte after Conte revealed that Shane knew he was taking illegal supplements. Both Conte and Shane's former trainer have now asserted, in a court of law, that Shane knowingly took performance enhancers. Things aren't looking good for Shane, and they're only going to get worse.

Now I can forgive Shane for blatantly cheating. Athletes strive for greatness, and sometimes get desparate in order to stay on top. What really dissapoints me though is that not only did he cheat, but he's now lying to the very fans that have supported him. Even worse, he's dragging other people through the mud in order to save his own skin. This is absolutely disgraceful behavior from Shane, and is completely unacceptable . Shane has always had a problem taking responsiblity for his actions, but this time he needs to own up and admit his deceitful behavior. Until Shane takes responisbility for his actions, a dark cloud will always follow him.

    And that's the memo.

He went on the Jay Leno Show the following week and had the nerve to say he "Kicked his (DelaHoya) ass!".

I actually mentioned this on a thread yesterday but nobody seemed to care but I do agree with you though. He is actually doing a Roger Clemens imitation...

Sadly, Shane has turned into a delusional, lying cheater. I saw that fight, it didn't look like he kicked anyone's ass that night.

  5. Has Mosley ever failed a drug test?? they have been testing for roids in boxing, for a long time now if his drug test's are coming back clean, then so be it..

Truebeliever, Shane was taking two designer steroids that are undetectable. He was also doing EPO. Usage of EPO can only be detected through a blood test. For his fights, Shane takes a urine test. Furthermore, there are blood samples on file that strongly indicate Shane's usage of EPO.

More and more is coming out and it looks very bad for Shane. He should have stayed at lightweight and dominated down there rather than bulk up.

BigReg, though I repsect your opinion, thats all it is at this point. Nothing has been proven. You feel Mosley's a cheat and a liar, but thats just YOUR opinion. Lets wait till all teh facts come out before we convict the guy. Like you said, if he used knowingly, I can forgive the guy and I can imagine that theres alot of boxers out there that did and we will never know. But if he knowingly did and is now lying and suing, I will be very dissapointed.

  11. I guess im just naive about Roids&testing Reg, with the Medical testing and science they have today in this high tech World, i thought all Roids could be detected thru Urine:huh i am strongly against Roids in any sport, they kept Canseco and Mark Mcguire out of the HOF, and i hope they shut the door on Roger Clemens also, and the same goes for boxers, a cheater is a cheater no matter what sport it is..

Is there any evidence that the roids even helped him? This is why I don't even care.

If I point a gun at you, pull the trigger, but the bullet misses you completely, should everyone just forget about it?

Sometimes intent is just as important as the result. The fact of the matter is, Shane took these illegal supplements because he felt it gave him a competitive advangtage; an unfair advantage given that what he was doing is illegal. Furthermore, it's not just about the drugs. It's also about Shane lying, and slandering other people in order to save himself. If you think this type of behavior is acceptable, or choose to ignore it, then you're just as irresponsible as Mosley.

Oh yeah, it's scientifically proven that using EPO will help you in terms of stamina. I'm pretty sure increased stamina will help a fighter.

Roids don't help you in boxing and Shane outboxed Oscar the first fight and I barely had him beating Oscar the 2nd fight. It is a non-issue.
