I think you should think twice before sticking the knife in. As it is now, we have Shane saying he didn't know and two people saying he did. If it comes down to choosing who you believe, surely you would say Mosley? He seems to be one of the nicest guys in the sport and the other two are criminals.

I'm not saying that Mosley is guilt free. I just think we should wait before passing judgment. And if you do wnat to judge at such an early stage, then Mosley is probably the person least likely to lie.

The hard part about believing Mosley is the great distance he traveled to get his supplements.

I've never liked the guy since his poor performance in the Forrest rematch, and he's given me just more and more reason to dislike him over the years. I've never fully bought into his whole nice guy act either. He can be as big a lying cheat as any other corrupt athlete on the scene. These new allegations just add fuel to the fire. **** Mosley!

Jack, I would love to be able to think like this. However, that would be irresponsible, as this logic does not work in this case. Number 1, only 1 of the witnesses against Mosley is a criminal. Number 2, although Conte is a convicted criminal, he was convicted of giving illegal performance enhancing drugs to pro athletes. So why should we not believe Conte? His conviction does not prove that he's a liar, it just proves that he manufactured and dealt steroids; which is exactly the issue in this case.

Furthermore, Conte has been nothing but truthful throughout this whole process. He has fully co-operated with the Feds, and all of his assertations have been proven to be accurate. He outed Tim Montgomery. Tim Montgomery had to retire in disgrace, return his medals and is now in jail. Conte said that he injected All-American good girl Marion Jones. Jones denied these accusations, and filed a lawsuit a la Mosley. Jones, also was forced to retire in disgrace, return her medals, and had to do a 6 month bid for lying to the Feds about her steroid usage.

Maybe blaming his Dad for losing to Winky? Losing to Forrest because of the Headbutt. Maybe that's what he's talking about?

If thats what he was talking about, its very, very thin to say the least.

    I will wait for him.

ACB, many of Shane's actions have lead me to believe that Shane has trouble taking responsiblity for his actions. As already mentioned, he fired the man who was a big part in getting him to the top once his career hit a rough patch. Instead of realizing that he was making bad career decsions, and taking on ill advised opponents, he essentially blamed his failures on his father. I'm not saying fighters shouldn't take on challenges. However, when you take on guys who are bad matchups for you like Forrest and Wright, you should realize that your lack of talent is what's holding you back, not your trainer.

Also, Shane seems to defer all of the major decisions in his career to his wife. She runs the man's life. One way to avoid being responsible for your actions is to let someone else dictate them. Lastly, the physical and circumstancial evidence strongly suggests that Shane knowingly took illegal performance enhancers. Instead of admitting his mistakes, he has resorted to blaming, and in the process, slandering others.

Now you may or may not agree with me, and that's fine. However, I'm simply giving my opinion based on the actions that I've seen from Mosley. My assertation about Shane's tendency to blame others for his problems is only one part of my problem with Mosley. The lying, slandering, and wasting of the public's time and money with this ill advised lawsuit is my biggest problem with Shane. However, this is a forgiving nation, and I'm a reasonable person. All Shane has to do is come clean, and people will be willing to get past this.

Many boxers have fired their trainers or made excuses after losses, including Oscar, Pac etc.

This is competitive drive, hardly something to be ashamed of for gods sake. Other boxers should try to have more of it.

This is really getting slippery now. Who cares about his relationship with his wife, and who really knows the inner workings of their relationship.

This accusation concerns me. Mosely is in my top 10, but if I find out he did this he will be bumped down.

However, this is the first real accusation that carries weight to his charachter, and your statement about him not taking responsibility for his actions and having a dark side to his charachter infered to me that he has a troubled history beyond this current issue. You didn't really provide any evidence of this, and personal relationship issues, marital issues, and wanting to take the best competition simply doesn't merit such an inference, especially given the thread title.

On a personal note, I'm a little heartbroken about this situation with Shane if all leads to where you guys think it may. I lived very close to Pomona when he was on his run at lightweight and I have followed him for a long time.

And you are clearly an alias who had a prior life as an ******* here on ESB, and probably one I have run out of a few threads.

By the way, even this latest post has your idiocy written all over it.
