Were there many good tall welter weights? Tommy Hearns one but were there any better?
SRR obviously while he was at that weight.

What do you consider to be tall for a WW? Trinidad, Hoya, and SRR were all 5'11". I think that's pretty tall for a WW.

5'11" is pretty tall for a welter weight I suppose. Still not many good ones as tall as Hearns though.

It's easy, the tall welter weights that were really special at that weight had something that tall fighters seem to lack in that division nowadays, the jab. Particularly the jab/straight. It should be a tall fighters bread and butter, the tall WW that mastered this became extremely successful.

5'6"-5'9" is normal for a ww.

5'8"-5'11" is normal for a jmw.

dlh(5'10") and tito(5'11") were both tall for ww's.

5'8-5'10 is the average ball park for a welter. Oscar was more a big lightweight than a big welterweight imo
