Although Hernández collected several large purses in his career, including $600,000 for his final fight against Mayweather, he was not able to afford his expensive treatments and benefits were held to assist in paying what insurance would not cover. Bob Arum, of Top Rank Promotions, who promoted Hernández, footed Hernandez' bills for chemotherapy for a number of years, until Hernandez died, also having him brought to and from the chemotherapy sessions. In mid 2009 it was reported that Hernández' cancer was in remission but in early 2010 the cancer had returned and Hernández was undergoing treatment. On June 3, 2011, it was announced that Hernández would stop chemotherapy treatment. Hernández died from cancer on June 7, 2011, at the age of 45. Floyd Mayweather paid for Hernández's funeral expenses. Sorry for yours and his loss. Awesome if it's true what Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather did for him.

Theres trainers that know how to prepare a fighter and thats one thing and theres also trainers that can watch and see every little thing that your doing wrong and what the other guy is doing wrong. You need both if your gonna be top level.

he was completely done when he fought kimbo. he was like 42 going on 65. A shell of his former self for sure. To me he was kinda an ******* but thats kinda typical of mma dudes vs boxers. I mean you get the racial groups but ive worked and trained in mma and boxing gyms and on the whole. boxers have way more respect for everybody in the gym and there is just more ettiquete period in the boxing gym.

i took the medical 3 x had 6 fights fall through in a row. Nobody wants to promote an old man but they dont want to put me in against their house fighter. Thats why they keep asking to see me spar and then fights mysteriously fall through. It suck. I dont even care. Thinking about a bare knuckle fight. One of my teammates is the current 135 pound champ for BYB. prob gonna fight on the undercard of one of his next shows. Suites my style aswell. Dont matter.
