Some people cannot fathom the thought of "their" fighter legitimately losing a fight, and therefore have a pre-prepared excuse.

If they fight this year, of course Loma is the heavy favourite, but Tank still has a chance to win it. If he does, give him credit. If not, at least Tank dared to be great. If Loma wins it, he also deserves credit, I know Tank is very young but his style allows him to pick up great wins relatively early in career.

Tank is a good fight for Loma. Davis can't depend on the counter shots to see him through against Loma. Tank has the power and speed to contend. I would love to see this fight ASAP.

And Loma will be 33 which is very much prime age in boxing. Besides who was Loma fighting when he was Tanks age at 24? Some bums. Tank at 27 vs Loma at 33 is a very balanced fight age wise. But of course Loma groupies already making up the excuses that he is old lol

Tank should be patient, and let Lopez fight Lomachenko first.

Loma looks younger & in better physical condition than Davis! & no ones questioning if Loma has a cawk too.. I mean Tank Davis looks like he's half way through gender reassignment!

I think that Tank can hurt Loma and I wouldn't rule out a brutal stoppage by Tank.

Why doesn't Tank force the fight then? Seriously what is he doing? He hasn't had a decent fight since beating Pedraza. If he beats Loma he will be a legit superstar, if he loses so what he can come again he is only young. Floyd had no problem fighting Corralles at a young age, if Tank wants to be a legit star he needs to take risks because he is obviously very talented but is wasting his time knocking out over matched and under sized opponents.

At this rate, I'd say a 33-years-old Loma will still win against a 26-years-old Davis. Tank only fought once a year and he (and his team) only select opponent who he is confident he can win. On the other hand, Loma is very discipline in keeping his fitness and seems aiming to have 2-3 fight in a year. Last year when Loma was injured, he still managed to fight twice a year, one for his 3rd weight class title and the other one for unification. While Tank wasn't even injured but less active. His inactivity will affect his experience level and sharpness in the ring. Floyd is not stupid, and I believe, he is also aware of this too and wouldn't let Tank to fight Loma until he reaches 40.
