He already did when PBC and Mayweather Promotions approached Team Haney who said he was fighting Regis Prograis next. Some how Tank will get the blame in your eyes for that as well.

 

I've just checked the WBA website. The regular champ gets 25% Vs the super champ getting 75%.

In extreme circumstances they can make an exception and the regular champ gets 40% Vs the super champ getting 60%.

If PBC have approached Haney and said they'll take the 25%, or will apply for consideration for 40% then fair play to him.

My assumption, and the reason I blame Tank, is I would assume they've approached Haney and offered him a lowball offer like 49% or below which would be absolutely laughable.

 

You sound naive. Do you really think guys like Tank that is A-side fighters will give any other champion 75% of the purse. I mean really. Whatever they offer Haney will a significantly higher career pay day than he has ever got by. Imagine Haney been giving 35-40% against Tank which would get him between $30-$40 Million. You think he should turn that down for 49% or 75% he will never get? Alphabet rules don’t mean **** when you face the monopoly economic market maker. You think Bivol got 75% against Canelo. Wake up man, you can do better than that.

It's bizarre as a boxing fan how bothered you are about finances.

Haney is the undisputed champion, if Davis wants his fight offer to be taken seriously it has to consider the reality that Haney is the champion and Davis is not.

 

This is stupid. The fighters are who they are and -in the cases of Spence and Wilder- they fought everyone they were supposed to and then lost to fighters that happened to be better than themselves. That's not on the promoters.

If you want to blame anyone, blame the trainers, but even that is disingenuous, given that Spence beat everyone else and Wilder literally stopped listening to and eventually fired his trainer.

This anti-PBC garbage needs to stop. Stop getting caught up in promotional rivalries and be fans of the sport. Errol Spence wasn't a hype job just because he lost. Neither was Deontay Wilder.

Tank Davis may well lose, but he's no hype job and I don't think anyone below welter has an easy time with him. He is a great fighter surrounded by other great fighters and I suspect that he'll fight them if/when it makes business sense.

 

I am bothered about both. The difference between you and I is I have been involved in the fight game in a professional capacity. I know what fighters go through from personal experience. I have an abiding rule when it comes to professional boxing which is to maximise fighters income. It is necessary and morally the right thing to do. When idiots like you move on to the next the fighters better have maximised their incomes. Fighters fight for money. Belts gather dust.

 

The difference between you and I is that your a fan of the individuals where as I am a fan of the fighters.

They have enough people in their entourage to worry about what they get paid, we watch fights not bank accounts.
