Gvozdyk and Andrade were both younger than Bivols best win a 40 year old, and the same age as Canelos best wins yet everyone lauds them but dismisses Davids best wins as too old. The hypocrisy is unreal. David won the belt at 20 years old, younger than Canelo and in less than half the fights, forgive him for struggling against a solid fighter. You forgot he stopped Dirrell an experienced 2 time WC when he was only 22 years old to win the belt a second time. A 2 time wc by the time most other fighters are still fighting cab drivers. David is more talented and gifted in the ring. GGG was very solid fundamentally and strong but David is more talented and versatile in the ring. GGG struggled when he stepped up in competition. Davids combination of speed, power, volume, combination punching, accuracy, range, and fight IQ is what makes him special. You can't see it yet but Canelo sure could. He was happy to step in the ring with GGG three times. Would not dare to do it once vs David, even for more money.
Ya that's a bad pick.. the guy just got obliterated ... and prior to that got a gift against a FW.. despite having 25lbs on him.. what else did he do.. beat Regis prograis .. so what so did Jack Caterall lol.. they just can't stop forcing Haney down our throats can they .. they must have guaranteed him boxing superstardom if he let diddy ream him out
You're kinda just glazing Benavidez at this point honestly. I think he's a good fighter but I don't see anything special, certainly not enough to say he's P4P and definitely nowhere near enough to say he's even the same caliber of fighter as Golovkin let alone better than him. David in his prime "stepping up" struggled more against Plant, Gavril, Gvoz, and Morrell than a faded GGG did against guys like Canelo, Jacobs, and Derev imo. Golovkin had tough fights but he didn't have his offence practically shut down for 5 rounds straight against an average boxer like Plant nor did he look as clueless as Benavidez did against a run-of-the-mill pressure fighter like Gavril.
I never thought Haney was anything special but he was done wrong in that fight. Ryan popped dirty and didn’t even attempt to make weight. People saying that he beat Haney up like none of that happened is crazy to me. I’m positive if the opposite happened, Haney haters or American fight haters would never let it go.
Man, Ring is more biased against Tank than The Dearborn Independent is about matzah recipes, dafudge!
GGG never fought a boxer as slick as Plant, but I did see welterweight Brook, put it on ggg for 3 rounds before he got stopped, and that was someone who moved up 2 divisions. Benavidez is officially a p4p fighter now so I am not the only one 'glazing' him. The fact you called Plant an average boxer again proves you are a poor judge of fighter.
