Thought there's that photo of Margarito's wrap after the first fight. Also Cotto's face looked unnaturally swollen.

I will admit mind the rematch looked like it was starting to go the same way until Margarito's eye swelled up from the injury he got in the Pacquiao fight. Think Cotto struggled with 147lbs a bit too.

If you look closely at that pic they claimed was a crack its actually just a thread from the wrap. Maybe Cotto had loaded wraps in the rematch, if his hands were swollen, I'd lay odds no one checked it. Tony's eye was permanently damaged by Pac man, Cotto made sure of that before he signed for the rematch. Then tried to claim he'd beaten Tony. Knowing Tony he would never have quit like Cotto did on his knees
Some of the lads in the gym tried to load their gloves, the way they claimed Tony had, then punch a heavy bag every one said it wouldn't work it hurt their hands too much, bruising their knuckles

Yeah it’s kind of disappointing as a fan but I cannot fault the fighters at all. It’s a smart move looking after their health, and I honestly would probably do the same thing if I was in their position. I fear for the future health of guys like Chisora; I love watching him fight, and he obviously can still fight at a high level, but I actually feel a little bit guilty for watching his fights now (being entertained by someone who may be giving himself CTE). I really think it’s a good idea for him to hang it up after his win over Joyce.

I meant to say Cotto's face was unnaturally swollen. On Wikipedia it says the commission found Plaster of Paris in the wraps who knows if that's true.

Like I said it seemed Margarito's pressure just got to Cotto. The rematch seemed to be going the same way to a lesser extent until the eye injury Pacquiao caused flared up.

They found traces of ingredients found in plaster of paris. But not items exclusive to plaster of paris.

The commission was very careful after jumping the gun & suspending Margarito on Naz Richardson's claim he saw "Plaster Blocks" fall from Margaritos wraps. There never were any plaster blocks , he obviously lied
All they ever found on those pads in Marg's wraps were TRACE elements of Calcium & Sulphur after microscopic analysis. OK in much larger amounts they are indeed ingredients of Plaster BUT they are also ingredients of Human Sweat as well as hand crème. The amounts found were par with what would be in human sweat & not in plaster. The commission failed to point this out in their report.
They had to try & save face they knew they had been fooled, plus no doubt their lawyers told them it would never stand in court if they indicted Tony So they came up with this Ludicrous excuse.
"We are not reinstating Margarito's license to box in Ca. because we still BELIEVE he MAY have tried to load his wraps against Mosely" does that seem like justice was done??
No way !!!!! Under US Law any suspect must be considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law !!!!!!!! This was merely a Kangaroo court.
I'm certain I know why they proceeded with this obvious means of removing Margarito from the scene but cannot prove it. Obviously the commission thought they were above the law even though they had no evidence he's ever done anything wrong. Ive found many people in the boxing world agree with me & why they did it

Ice compare Cotto's face after both margarita fights Cottos face was beaten up as bad
He was also beaten up bad by others. Difference was Margarito refused to quit & lose.Cotto jumped at the chance he knew he was leading if the fight got stppped. That doc saved Cotto QUITTING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fair enough like I said I wasn't completely sold on it not completely writing it off either coz I don't know but the rematch did look like it was starting to go that way.
