Oh so why not make it now ? Joshu Taylor is undisputed and Tank just came off of KOing Barrios at 140. Why wait ? Or is Tank just going to wait when Taylor is past it.

PBC cult LOL. Biased as hell. All you do is worship the Mf like he's the second coming of Floyd Mayweather. Tank can literally duck all elite opponents and you'd still dickride him. Oh wait he did do that. What elite opponent at Lightweight has he fought ? Tank avoided Loma, and he will never fight a prime Josh Taylor. Cmon Tank, make the fight.

yes, but that was clearly not enough to outbox a b level fighter at 140. which i didnt think it would be. without that power, he loses a decision.

Favorite??? Based on what? Not beating jmm clearly and losing to a faded erik Morales? I like you but don't get your logic here pac back in 2009 was way more reckless one dimensional and flawed. Pbf was still prime then and would have boxed circles around him and possibly have stopped the reckless pac with a clean counter as he dove in off balanced trying to get in range. In 2009 pac still had no answers for pbfs ability to control range and dictate distance on him. That's the real reason why pac can't beat pbf.

Based on what I saw at the time.

Floyd was 2 years inactive and Pac had just ascended to the top of the boxing hierarchy.

It doesn't matter, they never fought them, they fought years later and Floyd won.

But yeah, had Floyd fought Pac between Mosley and Berto, I favour Pac.

All we heard before the fight was pac was going to overwhelm pbf with power speed angles and workrate, well that didn't happen even against a shot pbf.
How does pac get past a prime pbfs ability to dictate distance and control range on him? That's pbfs ace in this fight and pac has no answer for it. He can't the fight slows down pacs workrate drops off and becomes a boxing match which pbf becomes the ring general and he outboxes pac to a ud win.

    1) PBC know full well that Taylor has mandatory Catterall to take care of right now and is tied up honouring the contract with Caterall (step aside) to allow the Ramirez / Taylor fight to take place earlier in the year.
    2) They also know full well that it's highly likely that Taylor is going to move up to 147 after the Catterall fight - rumblings of Crawford in Scotland early 2022 (though if Crawford ain't gonna take a 60/40 split with Spence, I highly doubt he's gonna come across to Scotland to face Taylor!!! )

It's just using Taylor's name to keep Tank in the social media, safe without much chance of the fight taking place - thread title says this fight is "Highly Possible" - sure, it's possible, but not highly - more like Highly Improbable. If Taylor then vacates to go 147, they can even play the 'Taylor running from Tank' card, not that anyone is gonna buy that if Taylor moves up to face Crawford :risas3:

Let's just watch and see - my bet is if Taylor and Arum try and make the fight with Tank after Catterall (assuming Taylor wins, there's no sure thing in boxing...) PBC will change their tune damn quick all of a sudden.

If Tank is gonna stay at 140, let's see him against Prograis, Barancyk, Subriel Matthias or even Ponce who recently brutalised Lewi Ritson. Not really sure what the Barrios fight really tells us as Barrios would be beaten by all the 140 fighters I listed

    Faster and more overwhelming.

As i said, its a prediction. A meaningless one that can never happen.

Like when people debate Pea vs Duran.

well, we all know that was what scared the mayweathers into believe in some stupid A side meth. Floyd was never EVER going to fight that peak version of Pac. Even when the fight was first discussed, many writers said there's a good chance Floyd will wait out Pac and let him age or lose first. And that's exactly what happened. (Queue idiots to cry about blood testing for a fighter Floyd recanted his statement about  )

True but I come from the school that believes pbf has always been faster than pac when throwing single shots faster feet and reflexes which is more usable in a boxing match than combo speed which pac is faster in that department. Pbf isn't there to be hit so being able to throw fast combos is basically useless against him. A good jab quick single shots followed by a looping overhand right will go a long way and are far more effective against him.

For me it always came down to if Floyd could stop Pac's output by discouraging him with his punches.

And Pac then, just didn't seem like he'd get discouraged imo.

You mean it was the other way around. It was pac who turned down the fight because of random blood testing with no cut offs. He pulled out of the talks and went to fight Clottey pbf didn't he agreed those are facts. Even roach admitted this, stop with the lies repeated by pbf haters on forums and in the media that's not what happened and people like you are trying their best to re-write history.

Pbf being older than pac waited on him to get older yet pbf retired in 2015 and yet pac is still fighting close to the top of his game, are you high? This is a ridiculous take that further proves my point about pac being more well liked because of people like you can say flat out lies and dumb **** about what took place and people will believe it and like your posts because they like pac and hate pbf. Had pbf turned down random blood testing back in 2009 and ran off to fight Clottey instead and pac agreed to the fight and he fought Mosely, pbf would've been run out the sport. But since people like pac more they lie give him a pass and make excuses for him. Yet you wonder why people have a problem with some pac fans???

I was one of those who warned about Andy Ruiz Jr for AJ especially as he had just had dominant fight and win which I saw. Specifically I warned he was much better than Jarral Miller. Matchroom are sometimes prone to stupid matchmaking this a case in point bringing Ruiz in as the late substitute when they could have brought in Michael Hunter. You are entitled to your opinion but not your own facts. Floyd beats any version of Pacquiao as he is totally wrong stylistically for Pacquiao. Hell Floyd is wrong for everybody which is why even amongst the stellar level of competition he faced he was unbeaten. Keep your thoughts 2009 Pacquiao would have beaten him if it keeps you warm and reassured we all know what 38 year old Floyd did to him. As Floyd himself said I am much better than Pacquiao.

He doesn't need to get discouraged to get outboxed and fight another man's fight. There's little he can do to stop it from happening.
