Tank will be competiting at 140 pounds going forward

I hate to say it, I really do...

This is gonna turn out just like Adrien Broner's jump from 135 to 147.

All the haters will be jumping for joy at this, in the same way they did when Broner went from 135 to 147.

It's dumb as hell. If Mayweather never did it, these dudes should not either. After all, they both look up to Money Mayweather.

Career suicide and also a move that makes zero sense. Furthermore, Josh Taylor is waaaay too big for Gervonta, and he re-hydrates plenty too. That alone would make that fight a complete mismatch.

Broner should stick with 126 and 130. He is already a small 135 fighter.

I sure hope he has a ATG career but this will be a complete mess if he goes there.

 

Dumb as hell. But he's lazy and gets too fat in between camps. He will have to learn the hard way. He will beat the lower level guys at 140 but the top guys forget about it. His style isn't suited to be jumping up like that.

 

Gamboa 2.0? He's in his mid twenties so he's got some time, but those peak physical years go quick and you can't get em' back. Especially if you're living the rockstar lifestyle. Or if you wind up in the clink for a few years. Hope he pulls it together soon.

I did not had followed Tank enough to tell about him correctly.

Sometimes moving up in weight class might be justified due to some reasons.
For example I had performed better in higher weight class if I had 0 water cut. It depends from guy, I hated this stuff effect on me.

 

He just made 130 and looked good! I get he wasn't gonna stay at 130 but Lopez's belts are about to be up for grabs at 135.

Easy belt for him, why not stick around?

 

Nothing easy there and not only Lopez, even Loma, Nakatani and Linares, Campbell are not joke there. + other boxers there at 135 lbs.

 

It's crazy that a guy that short can't make that weight. He is fat as hell and doesn't have the discipline required to become great in this sport. It's almost like Tank is coasting after making it out of Baltimore alive.

 

Avoiding Lomachenko and Teofimo by going up and facing Josh Taylor is not the way to do it.

Josh Taylor will beat Tank up so bad he'll go crying to papa Floyd.

 

Lopez will be at 140, he can avoid Loma and perhaps one or two others he doesn't want fighting for a vacant title. Not easy as in no effort required, but easy relative to the other divisions. 140 will be similar but everyone is that much bigger.

 

Pedrazza was a LONG time ago. LSC was never a true JMW. Tank hasn’t faced a real opponent in years. The stupidity of you guys is amazing.

 

Once Teofimo moves to 140 just watch Tank move back down again he knows he cant **** with Lopez.

Seems like he is on mayweathers ped protocol and has no choice but to move from 130 where he last fought to 140lb. Certain steroids make you gain weight regardless of how disciplined you are.
