Doghouse Boxing was notified earlier by the former five-time world champion Johnny Tapia 56-5-2 (28) that the forty-one year old fighter is eyeing a return to the ring possibly in April.

Tapia, who defeated Evaristo Primero via Majority Decision February of 2007, told the Doghouse he plans on fighting in his home town of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and if successful in his return, more bouts are to follow in hopes of a sixth world title.

Benny Henderson Jr. goes heads to head with Tapia in an exclusive interview, getting the former champs thoughts on his past, present and future.

If Tapia was a heavyweight, he'd undoubtably win a belt. But unfortunatly for Johhny, there is some real competition in the lower weight classes.
If he does come back, he'll be punch drunk in a year.

In all fairness cocaine is fairly expensive.
