The Demsey McKean KO was more impressive than Whyte, i reckon.

I doubt Itauma hits anywhere near as hard as Zhang or Sanders but, he does have an uncanny way of hitting guys coming in after baiting them with a feint. Also, Hatman Strikes Back showed stills of Itauma as he was landing on Whyte and he turns the shoulder, hip, heal and twists at the waist beautifully with almost every shot so his technique really is world class. Weight of shot likely a 7/10 but his speed, accuracy, hitting on the counter and from unexpected angles is right up there.

Right now I clearly rank Sanders and Zhang over Itauma.

Zhand for example dropped and hurt Hrgovic, KO'd Joyce cold, dropped Parker and Kabayel with single shots. That's FAR more impressive than anything we've seen from Itauma in terms of power.

It was a chronic injury. I think the big break came in the Austin fight, if I remember correctly, and that is why he switched to a cautious boxing style.

But that is why he retired early.

It's like seeing people planning on how they will spend the money when they have the first lotto ball that drops on their ticket.

Does he even hit as hard as Jalolov? All of this hype is dumb.

He's a talented fighter but a lot of questions to be answered. To me, he lacks the dynamic athletic quality to live up to this press he's getting.

I think his Light-Heavyweight numbers makes him look like a bigger puncher than he was, at least at heavyweight.
35-0, with 31KO wins going into the Foreman fight, but:

35 fights total at heavyweight; 30 wins 4 losses, 1 draw, and 18 wins via KO. He mainly stopped lower tier guys at heavyweight.

In hindsight, I think my comment was written a bit too critically. I should have pointed out that he still was a big puncher even at heavyweight, especially for a southpaw.
He was a boxer-puncher, and probably could have scored more KO´s if he changed his style to be more of a puncher.

Let's see him in with a top 20 guy that's actually prime first.

Ironically there are a number of guys that I think he has far more upside than that are higher in the rankings........................he ain't proved anything yet though.
