i did mate, and as i remember Dawson won a clear decision but it was not means a schooling...Milkdud landed some decent shots and won a few rounds, staggered Chad once or twice to thats all i meant :good basically im just trying to say he aint totally shot and is still world class, not the fighter that beat Jones twice, but still a top 15 LHW fighter, probably top 10 to be honest
Didn't realise i mentioned that other **** u talk about :huh I was just keeping in tune with your Danny " fill in the blank" Green references :deal
Fair enough mate. I didnt think it was as lopsided as the first one, definitely more competitive on a round to round basis but at the same time not very close. I think it was just a textbook example of a younger fighter already having an easy win over his opponent getting a little cocky and unmotivated for the rematch...and Tarver fighting like his career depended on it. Antonio let his hands go a lot more. Hard to say if he will come that fired uo or how much he has regressed since then. It will be over a year between innings if Tarver fights Greeny and he will be nearly 42. Antonio has had a career full of phoned in performances in between very good ones.
A hard fight for Green, a fit well prepared tarver is a very tough fight for Green, Tarver has fought way better fighters than Green and beaten them, Green has not be anywhere near a dawson type of fighter his whole career, tarvers boxing skills could be a major problem for green.
Despite cringing at all of cp's posts in this thread I would like to point out that tarver should take this, I can't imagine him getting out boxed or knocked out by green. This could be a stinkfest as someone already mentioned dawson vs tarver 2 was no foty candidate.
I'm sorry, but I just can't excited by an ageing Tarver and to be frank, what appeal would we seriously think he could drum up with the mainstream, who rightly/wrongly, provide the big, big PPV $. Boxing fans provide a certain level of $ through PPV, but to bring the big $ home, you need mainstream getting excited (cue Mundine / RJJ type hype / bouts) and I just can't see that happening. Maybe I'm wrong, just my opinion.
think about it man.... they will hype it as the two Roy Jones killers facing off, as if that wont get the average person excited
