No he would have got knocked out. Tarver was waiting to time him.

As soon as he did try to take Tarver out, Tarver started landing his power shots and hurt him.

You know for a fact that everything I said was true, He got to the top beating top level fighters like Rick Frazier. Furthermore since being caught with steroids in his system, Roy's record has been 13-6 since. I never said he was ****, the man had talent, but he was also a PEDS cheat (like a lot of yanks) and has a vile glass jaw. Your fanboyism is clouding your vision. Sad

Roy beat Tarver in their first fight. You left that out of your recap.

OK, just watched this. How does Tarver come out of this with his title?:huh

I'm not saying Koyode was robbed, b/c he did lose anything. His 0 is still intact and he didn't have a title to be stolen......BUT.......I couldn't give Tarver 5 solid rds. And I could easily give Koyode 7 solid rds. Maybe a 9rd schooling if I scored the 2 tight ones for Koyode.

I agree that LK acted a fool after the fight, but Tarver talked shiit first after he was gifted retention of his minor title.

I mighta been more pissed if I was LK. FK Showtime and their biased commentary too.

    I don't know. . I like Tarver. . But there's nothing special about him, really. . .

I don't like how he always makes excuses, especially after how he accused Roy of doing so. . .

But he has to get some credit for exposing the fragile porcelain in Roy Jones Jr.'s jaw.

Tarver has more big losses than he has big wins.

He has been living off of Roy's name for most of his career.

Tarver is a great great fighter with stacks of talent.

He is a level above the muppet he faced last night. You could see it when they were boxing. He would have won if he had taken the fight more seriously.

Bro come on, I was a big Jones Jr. fan too (thought his going up to HW and taking a world title from Ruiz was one of the greatest things ever at the time. (I was naive)) but Tarver won that first fight too. Roy was totally gifted a decision in that first fight.

i just had to laugh at your avatar. calzaghe beating american legends with a combined age of 83. maybe if joe could beat ali right now he might be considered the greatest. british fight fans are among the most delusional people i've ever met.

some people claim this but i have yet to see a scorecard giving the fight to tarver. even the ring, who hates roy, had roy winning by two points.

I'm starting to think maybe the people that scored the fight for Tarver are the kind of people that don't score bodyshots.

According to the rules anything that's not a jab should be counted as a power shot.
    That includes body shots.
People that think body shots don't really damage you as much as a head shot probably don't score them, therefore half of the punches Roy Landed don't count in their eyes.

    That or they're just delusional.

    Either way it's all good:good
