Bernard Hopkins has done so much after age 40. He bet Kelly Pavlik, Jean Pascal, Roy Jones Jr., Antonio Tarver and Winky Wright also had a close call loss to undefeated Calzaghe. And proofed he still has speed and is still strong. He has looked great for his age and shouldn't be told to retire. He can fight until 50yrs old.... Honestly. He looks capable.

Glen Johnson is a strong fighter. Slower then before but he didn't look badly outclassed by Carl Froch, not close. but lost a fairly close Split Decision. Plus, he Knocked out contenders Yusaf Mack (29-4-2), Aaron Norwood ( 26-10-2) and Allen Green(29-2-0) in the Mid-later rounds, he also lost to Cloud and Chad Dawson at the time in good fights where both of the young and fast fighters outpunched him. I think he has proofed he can contend for a few years if he wants.

Antonio Tarver: As soon as we started to doubt him he came back! Tarver lost Twice to Chad Dawson with the fights making Tarver look very slow. But he came back! He got an easy UD over Nagy Agulara and then a brutal TKO over strong titleholder Danny Green in round 9 getting himself the IBO title.
Now that Tarver is ranked as a top 5 Crusierweight, he should contend for the years to come well.

Just goes to show you. Don't doubt the old greats.

Of the three only Hopkins is truely a great. Tarver and Johnson late success are largely based on wins over a shot Jones and fights with one another. They are fighters that are very hard to look great against. Johnson is a nightmare to look great against.

As for Hopkins, as long as he is matched right he will and can still win fights. If you put him in with an active fighter with fast hands at this point he would most likely lose. I expect him to lose to Dawson in fairly lopsided fashion somewhere in the range of 116-112. Depending on if Dawson that showed up for the Pascal fight doesnt show up.

Timing was everything for Tarver and Johnson, had they faced Jones three or four years earlier they would have gone the way of everyone eles that Faced Jones over his career, lopsided loses.

It all comes with the experience and the healthy active lifestyles they live.

Me neither. Pascal has his weaknesses but his strengths tend to make up for it more often than not.

ACTIVE FIGHTER WITH FAST HANDS. Pascal has decent handspeed but he is far from an active fighter.
