Tarver has pulled out of his fight with Danny Green. Green will now face Stripe Drews for the WBA belt on December 16 in Perth!

    its from an Aussie site

Danny Green will fight Croatian Stipe Drews for the WBA light-heavyweight title in Perth on December 16 after negotiations with IBO champ Antonio Tarver broke down yesterday.
``I am delighted to be fighting Drews and his company Universum have been a pleasure to deal with. Totally professional,'' Green told *********.com.au.
``Tarver is a mug. He treated me with total disrespect and contempt. Just four weeks away from when I'm supposed tob be fighting him I still don't have a contract.
``We announced the fight seven weeks ago and we've had one phone call from them in 14 weeks of negotiations.
``Drews is being paid a huge purse to come to Australia and I am honoured to be fighting a great champion for a prestigious title.''
The fight will be held at the 6000-seat Challenge Stadium in Perth.

Right. As opposed the IBO of Tarver?

Or the womans weekly, sorry, ring MAGAZINE belt of Hopkins? (that his business/business partner owns.......)

Of course, how stupid of me.

Yeah you're right, the great Stipe Drews who beat what's his face for the WBA strap. Tarver never heard of him, who has he ever beat?

You Tool. Stop looking at belts and look at the fighter.

    I am.

Tarver is a 38? year old inactive fighter, who lost to a 40 odd year old moving up from middleweight - who lost twice to Jermain Taylor.

You tool. Stop looking at how good guys were 5 or 10 years ago, and look at what they've done recently. And occasionaly, look outside the US.

I'm not from the US first of all and okay, who has Drews EVER faced, never mind recently? Paul Briggs and he got beaten handily. Tool.

Actually he's been telling everybody how he was fighting Tarver when he hadn't signed a contract or heard from them in weeks. And then we only hear about this new fight the day we hear the tarver fight isn't on, he's been negotiating with the Drews camp for who knows how long. Don't announce a fight if it isn't confirmed. It's funny everytime green announces a big fight he gets injured or **** like this happens. The only half decent fighters green has ever fought are mundine and beyer who beat him easily. I think Green should beat Drews because he is a rubbish, but who knows, Green ain't much of a fighter himself, dumb stiff and one-dimensional.

We can't blame the guy . . . another lost would be devastating to his career. He is trying to make a comeback . . . so he'll chose safe fights.
